Issue Summary

Summary by Eric Shaw

Daredevil is out testing his high swinging style sans handy ole billy club. As usual he is ruminating on various mysteries of his life when he losses concentration and slips! Catching himself on a ledge he pulls himself together.

Meanwhile the Black Widow is having second thoughts about DD's arrogance when she is interrupted by the visiphone. Ivan is calling her in distress and warns her to "Beware the Sting". She easily tracks her faithful companion and finds herself face to face with the Scorpion. He has been communicating with Mr. Kline and not only knocks her out with knowledge of her true identity, but also with his tail!

Lastly we observe Karen Page who wonders out-loud to Phil if he loves her and if so to please hold and kiss her. And we all are encouraged to walk away softly by the narrator.

Back in Matt's town house we find him tinkering with a new "sidewalk tapper". He investigates a loud noise from upstairs and finds Ivan unconscious along with a note challenging him to save the Black Widow. Ol' Horn-Head swings on to Central Park and is immediately attacked by the Scorpion. The adversary reveals that is knows our hero's real identity also! Daredevil is beaten six ways to Sunday and is about to be shot by the Scorpion when DD recovers and deflects the shot. Then the Scorpion goes all rigid and silent and runs off. Daredevil is unable to pursue and is left with more questions than when our story started.

A change of scene and we're with Foggy as he approaches a mansion at night. He is to see Mr. Kline and make a pay off. Mr. Nelson easily finds the Assassin and Foggy tries to shoot Mr. Kline. Only the gun gets too hot to handle and Foggy drops it. Mr. Kline then informs Foggy that he is now to be an agent of the Assassin!

Finally Daredevil catches up with the Scorpion at the World Trade Center construction site. He rushes to the upper floors and frees Natasha while the Scorpion is trying to get instructions from Mr. Kline. They both attack and the Scorpion is knocked from the roof top by the Widows sting. We don't know his fate but a roof top door opens and an unidentified man accuses the Widow of killing the Scorpion!
