Issue Summary

Summary by Michael Deeley

Daredevil's search for Knowbot leads him to a hacker named Cobol, who's afraid for his life. Those fears are justified when Cobol appears to die in an explosion that destroys the Staten Island ferry. In truth, he's taken by System Crash villain Bitmap and killed later. Daredevil helps rescue survivors until the Avengers arrive. They brusquely brush off the "new" Daredevil. Credit for the explosion is taken by the "Silicon Pirates". Supposedly a network of computer terrorists, it's really a cover for Strucker and System Crash.

Murdock refuses Elektra's offer for renewed romance, claiming he has to build a new life for himself. That new life is a street hustler called "Jack Batlin". He stops a man from getting cheated and gets a lead on Sinclair Spectrum.

The bodies of Killobyte and Knowbot are stolen from a police morgue by System Crash villains Wirehead, who literally sees the world as a giant video game, and Steel Collar, a giant cyborg. They hold back cops and Captain America, and escape with the bodies. Cap later tracks Spectrum to her apartment. Daredevil shows up and starts a fight.

Meanwhile, Karen Page is approached by two of her old porno film producers talking about a new deal. She drives them away, but they'll be back.
