I like that this issue focuses on lessons Matt learned from his father. It's touching that the memory of him is what pulls Matt out of his funk. This series felt depressing, especially the third issue, because Matt was in such a low place and probably more depressed than I had ever seen him, and it was hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

The problem I have with this issue is how much it hinges on Wilson Fisk's exit at the end of #4. As I typed before, Fisk's choice to leave the hospital room without doing Matt further harm felt out of character to me. That moment, however, has proved to be a turning point for Matt's recovery. You'll just have to read it for yourself. I find it problematic that such a big turning point is founded upon a moment I find out of character.

I'm happy with the way this series has ended. I truly don't know what to expect from Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto's first issue. Will it portray a slightly more physically fragile Matt as depicted in this series?
