you know how I feel, so yes. There are still characters in the Daredevil universe that I havent even seen in an issue *Mr. Fear for example* so id love to get a chance to see some Daredevil stories that I probably will never see unless they make an Ultimate DD.

Well some characters like Mr. Fear have become so convoluted in regular MU it be hard to write for them (There have been four Mr. Fears and they never explained how Larry Cranston came back from the dead.)

If there there was an Ultimate DD title such characters could be reintroduced and revamped. For example here is how I would handle Ultimate Mr. Fear.

Larry Cranston was always pushed by his parents to be the top in school, but he was always outshined by Matt Murdock.

When Cranston found out that Murdock was blind, he was overjoyed believing his rival had been dealt with. However Murdock still bested Cranston in school, graduated with the highest grade point average in high school.

Both Murdock and Cranston went to Columbia University to study law. Murdock was still the better student and Cranston decided the only way to best Murdock was to cheat. Cranston decided to steal the exam answers, but Murdock through dumb luck and super senses discovered Cranston scheme and had him reported to the dean. Cranston was exspelled.

With parents disowning him, Cranston became a janitor, in the lab of a famous scientist from Eastern europe Dr. Zoltan Drago. One night Drago accidently created a chemical compund that created fear in anyone who exposed to it. Cranston murdered Drago and set the lab ablaze, making it look like an accident, to cover up the fact that he stole the fear serum.

Now he is ready to gain revenge on Murdock.

I'll say no, from what I have read, the Ultimate DD & Elektra titles have been poor, I have still bought them though. I agree with the majority, DD has an established history and it doesn't need smoothing over with a new Ultimate line.

I also do not think it will happen as DD is not a big title like Spiderman or Xmen, it would not generate enough sales for them. Sorry everyone, DD is a niche comic, I think that Marvel want the Ultimate line to be for small series to tell a story Ult DD etc and the on-going series are for the what-ifs on the big Marvel stars.

I am not knocking DD in the slightest, one of my faves, but I see the UU as a way of doubling up your stories, as in "I'll buy Amazing Spiderman and also Ult. SM as well", DD does not have the mass market that SM & Xmen are in. I think that Ult FF will not be a long runner, but I have no idea on the sales numbers though so I could be talking a load of rubbish!

That said, I loooooove the Ultimates, Ultimate Nightmare, Ultimate six etc. Ult DD was just a let down. I would love to see an Ult Punisher, Frank killing everyone is always good reading for me.

Make the Ultimate Universe pay Frank.

While I think the Ultimate DD/Elektra has been really so so (easy to read but extremely forgettable) I've enjoyed his little guest appearances in other Ultimate books.

So for me...I'm all for it...if care is put into it.

No, I really wouldn't go for this... An Ultimate title is not needed, in my opinion. You could start another Marvel Universe DD title, or a series set in past continuity, and it would be able to do practically anything an Ultimate title could. Furthermore, I think the Ultimate line needs to be kept small.

If someone came in with a new twist on DD (like Millar did for the Avengers/Ultimates), then maybe you could justify it, but the fact is they can't even really do that now, since Ultimate Murdock has already appeared in UMTU and a miniseries (or two?) and is practically identical to his counterpart. Fact is, if they didn't do it when the movie came out, I don't see them doing it now.

Well i would love nothing more than an ultimate daredevil ongoing title in the MU but since it aint happening, at least they shoul do an ultimate daredevil miniseries, a solo one because the ultimate elektra and daredevil and elektra are really good stories, but it just reveal more their relationship and elektra's origin as an assasin or criminal whatever.

But an ultimate daredevil title featuring daredevil telling us his origin would be good, of course that this should be a retelling origin story for Matt, since he has appeared as an adult lawyer in the ultimate universe, instead of the man of 20 years (as Isee it int he daredevil elektra story). At least what fans wnat is an ultimate daredevil origin, a tale showing us his part in the ultimate universe and how he became daredevil.

If this ever happens they should us the same artist as the ultimate elktra story and (in my opinion) Frank Miller writting it.
Well that's my opinions for now.

yeah, but honestly dude, how many times can you revamp/retell an origin story.
Frank Miller did it once, then Jeph Loeb added more details to Stan Lee's version. Plus there are the slight variations in the UU version about the circumstances under which Elektra and Matt met.
You can't sqeeze anymore variation and/or details out of this story than what's been sqeezed out of it already.
Honestly, cuz i'm just miffed everytime someone says they want to see it re-done, what's aspects of DD's begining would you like to see looked at in a different light?

Well I dont know which aspect, frankly I dont care about the aspects, maybe the reason I want to see it redone its to see if they can squeez more aspects to the other retelling stories, this is an opinion I dont see why people get anoyed with this anyway.

i'm not annoyed, i'm just puzzled.
see, when i think more aspects i think along the lines of a flash-back story like Yellow, or even Redemption, that tells us something we haven't know before, but fits into a past time frame or mood.
so when you someone says "retell" i automatically think "how the heck can you reword that again?"
so now i get it, it's all good Smile
