As much as I'd LOVE a DD cartoon to invigorate the DD scene, I think it won't happen. Unless, something radical happens, like DD makes a cameo appearance in the next Spiderman movie, and he can be introduced to the cartoon watching public, I can't see him fronting his own show and pulling in the numbers.

Before the DD film was released there was a DVD released with the DD/Spiderman episodes of the 80's cartoon released, so that any enthusiastic fallout from the movie could cash in on the DD/Spidey thing. But its hit budget quite swiftly, which probably says volumes about DD's popularity. He's always been a marginal hero, with bags of credibility with fans, but not much drawing potential. Certainly not as much as say Spiderman or even The Hulk.

I really enjoyed the CGI Spiderman series released on DVD, and I'd love a similar 'up to date' CGI DD series, but I can't see it happening. DD is and always has been too "fringe". Which is a great part of his appeal actually.

I was devastated when I found out the DD game (for current games consoles) was cancelled. I bought the GBA version and enjoyed it, but was really looking forward to playing DD in a fully realised 3d environment. Spidey got his game. Hulk and Batman have theirs. Even The Punisher made it. But DD had his game cancelled... sad day for me that was.

It wasn't actually the game that was cancelled...the studio that was developing it was shut down.

IT was great to see Matt Murdock (and Black Widow) show up in the Punisher game.

...also...apparently Daredevil is likely to show up in the "RISE OF THE IMPERFECTS" Game coming out this fall.

They could do a great Daredevil cartoon that would just as entertaining to kids as well as the adults. There is more freedom there with an animated series than with the movies. I think that would be a great way to salvage the Daredevil franchise and re-establish in the entertainment industry before they make another movie.

Yeah he's in there and Elektra, so finally my dream will come true. Still, I really wish they'd finished the DD game and the studio had survived. The DD thing has past us now, and I see very little motivation for anyone to develop a DD centric game now. Unless of course we see DD2. Smile

I would LOVE to see a DD cartoon in the style of the old school Stan Lee issues! Still, I voted "NO" because I don't think it will ever happen.

Yeah, the thing that sucks is, you're right, they probably will never make a DD cartoon. They could do it too. If you look at batman the animated series, it has that very dark feel to it, but it's still a kids cartoon. But the problem lies in that DD at his prime is a very deep character, and the things that make him the greatest might be hard to transpose for kids to enjoy. But...what the hell, just give us some awesome Quesada billy club wires animation and flip kicks and I'm sold.

The Batman Animated Series of the 90's, along with the X-Men cartoon of the 90's proves that the sky is the limit with comic based television cartoons. These shows were incredible! I have no doubt that if someone like Paul Dini made a DD cartoon, it would be a successful masterpiece!

All thats needed for a DD cartoon is for it to be based on the the Ultimate elektra and DD setting. Both matt and elektra in first year college
that would appeal to kids and young adults alike

I would much rather have them produce a Daredevil direct to dvd animated movie; like the Ultimate Avengers, Iron Man and Doctor Strange. That would be the best way to produce an animated DD.

I think an animated series with a similar tone to Bruce Timm's work with Batman in the 90's could work brilliantly. But I also agree that a DD animated movie would be another great direction, and it's something that could very well happen. The two characters that have been given that treatment so far (not including the Avengers) are Iron Man and Dr. Strange, and DD is no less popular than they are.
