Conan #32 Another great read in the "Born on the Battlefield" story from Kurt Busiek. I'm disappointed that he's left the title and will only be showing up every once in a while to do an issue or two. Nobody does Conan better. 9/10

CAP. I think Agent 13 is now an imposter.

Civil War is bad, but I still buy it.

Wolverine Origins is horrible and I'm not buying it anymore.

Astonishing X-Men is ok.

Civil War #4 - I like Civil War. It's definitely better than House of M and on par with Disassembled. But it seems like most of the best stuff is happening away from the main title. Instead it just kind of exists as a gateway to the next set of revelations.

Civil War was pretty cool for 3 issues. However, after reading #4 I'm afraid it should now be called Civil Snore. The horrible "C" word makes an appearance. Come on! And judging from the one panel in the Avengers Tower, it looks like a "C" of Cap and many others.
The art is fantastic and I can stay on this for that reason alone. The magic in the storytelling is slipping a little. At least with this most current issue. Maybe the cover for #5 will hint at the amount of chaos within the book. Maybe. I hope so.

Checkmate #6 was my favorite read this week. And 52 continues to to be a rush to read as well.

I read other books, but these are the ones worth noting.

C.

My reviews of the following are up at SBC:

Astonishing X-Men #17:

Civil War #4 (slugfest review):

And Moon Knight #5, which I really enjoyed, and makes me think Huston's book is going to read far better once it's all collected in one edition.

I also picked up last week's Claws #2, which was pretty dreadful... And the "Civil War Files", which is fine if you like that sort of thing, but a bit dull and text-heavy for me.
