After a week in the newborn ICU we're home and doing well.

52 #23

Green Arrow #67 - This has been an amazing book, since McDaniel jumped on!

Martian Manhunter #3 - Lieberman is amazing! I really hope he gets an ongoing off this!

Tales of the Unexpected #1 - Lapham and Azzarello following the Spectre and other DC craziness. I have very high hopes for this one!

Uncanny X-Men #479 - Brubaker got me to read Uncanny X-Men. That's the kind of power he has! Razz

I will not be able to get to the comic shop this week as I am going on my annual piss-up with my mates from work on a canal boat all weekend. Thus, I will have a bumper collection (and cost!) next week, but I will be getting the following:

ESCAPISTS #4 (OF 6) $2.99 - The last issue wasn't as good as the others, but still enjoying this tale.

52 WEEK #23 $2.50 - It keeps shipping, even without Wacker! I think that Renee is back this week, so back to someone I actually care about.

DMZ #12 (MR) $2.99 - Enjoying this now, didn't at first but persisted.

WORLDSTORM #1 $2.99 - Will give it a go, see how I get on.

GIRLS #18 (MR) $2.99 - Great read, still don't know where it is going, but it has got very complicated now!
SAM NOIR SAMURAI DETECTIVE #2 $2.99 - First was okay, but loved the style of it, so I'm back for a second.

CIVIL WAR FRONT LINE #7 (OF 11) $2.99 - Top read, has made Civil War all the much better as it allows the other back stories to be told at the time when they matter, eg not after the event etc.

POWERS #20 (MR) $2.95 - Not sure on this, Bendis has taken it away from what made it good, superhero crime investigated by cops, don't actually like Walker as a Universe protector etc, kinda ruins the title for me. Will see where he's going with it, I've always given him the benefit of the doubt.

PUNISHER #39 (MR) $2.99 - Great set-up, could make a big arc out of this, just want to be along for the ride. Please don't die O'Brien!!!

ULTIMATE POWER #1 (OF 9) $2.99 - As a fan of both Ultimates and Supreme Power, I've been looking forward to this, the egos have landed!!!!

And I'll have to wait a week for them!!!

Just Frontline #7 for me. If you don't know how good it is and how much I like it, you haven't been paying attention. Here are the main points.

Frontline - good.
Depth - YES!
Jenkins = Excellent away from the ball.

A few comics like 52, CW:Frontline and the Escapists. And the big kahuna... Absolute Sandman Vol.1. A nice suprise to see this one so soon. A month early I believe.
