Welcome to the boards Dingspal1! I didn't want to muck up the introduction thread so I started a new one to try and answer your question.

I got sucked into DD during the Bendis/Maleev run of Vol. 2 and when going back to get caught up on recent continuity, I wondered the same thing you did - why were these issues not re-collected? Well, after picking the arc (Playing to the Camera) up through eBay, I got my answer (or at least the best I could come up with): nothing against Bob Gale, the arc just isn't on par with the rest of Vol. 2. It's basically filler between the Bendis/Mack arc concentrating on Ben Urich and the beginning of the Bendis/Maleev run.

Thanks for that. It puts my mind to rest that I may have been missing out for getting the TPBs instead of the singular issue, but that's probably just my paranoia.

To be honest, the "playing To The Camera" storyline is kinda lame indeed. I liked Bob Gale's Batman issues, but this storyline just did not stick. Still I would like to see this storyline in a hardcover reprint. I don't buy TPBs ya see.
