I think there is some good stuff in this issue. Matt and Bullet have some great character moments. Matt is trying very hard to live out his noble intentions as leader of the fist, but Bullet has some very valid objections to his actions, and it's great that Matt knows this.

The most confusing thing about this issue was Elektra's scene with the president. I think some things could have been made more clear. Did the president jump out the window? If so, show me that. Rafael de Latorre's artwork made it look like he was walking up the building's wall, not falling.

Editor Devin Lewis had to cite references to outside series such as Old Man Logan and Punisher to explain the narrative, and normally that's fine in superhero comics, but maybe we should have had some of that before this issue instead of doing it all in this one.

We're still hitting a lot of the same beats as in the lead-up to Shadowland, although I'm enjoying this more than Andy Diggle's story. Chip Zdarsky is simply a better writer. He's showing Matt's struggle to assume this weighty position and believe in his own hype, even though the scene with Bullet shows there are obvious cracks that can't be ignored. And now that Elektra has found herself in this jam of a cliffhanger, things have suddenly gotten worse.

I'm going to keep following this story. I gave this issue a three.

I really enjoyed the scenes with Bullet. I was very confused by the scenes with Elektra. Overall, I enjoyed the issue, but it left something to be desired just because that part was so unclear. Four Stars.
