Didn't Alan Smithee kill her? I'll have to double check.

Yes, you are both correct. Smile

Yes, that whole Kruel storyline was something to behold.

This timeframe, from after Humanity's Fathom (or Fathoms of Humanity if you prefer), was not a highlight of DD.

Changing editors, changing imprints... it's a wonder so many of us stuck through it.

I have to agree; I that wasn't the best of DD moments. I did like the writing, aside from the lame story.
I'm just glad that eventually we got Karl Kessel and Cary Nord. Those guys were great!

That is another problem with the "fix" to Chichester's final DD stories; Matt would have been hounded until the day he died with questions about being DD. This is an area where immediate-post-Chichester writers failed big time, but Bendis is shining. The way Bendis writes the impact of Matt's (second) outing as DD is exactly how it would happen!

Yes, Bendis did an amazing job. his story is so much more powerfull than the " fall from grace " storyline. Bendis rocks while chichester sucks.

Yes, Daredevil was fun to see with them. A good " old school DD "

When I identified myself as a hardcore Daredevil fan to Dan Buckley at Wizard World Texas, his first question was, "How long have you been reading Daredevil?" I told him from the beginning, sporadically at times, but I have nearly every issue now. His reply was, "You must be a true fan, you've stuck with him through some mighty awful stuff." Then he said there was some great stuff on the horizon.

I'd like to see a book with silverage roots that hasn't had terrible times. No matter how big the character, it seems that strange, commercially based storylines or plain bad creators take hold. Check out Spider-Man's clone saga, Superman's death and rebirth (Red / Blue stuff), Batman's Knightfall (well, I've yet to read Knightfall, but it might have actually been done well), etc.
