Maleev did such a sensational job of that scene in Matt's office that it's one that I really love to read over and over. How many times has the Man Without Fear become nearly speechless? The following scene with Foggy in the basement is just about as good. Definitely one of my faves. |
I was actually talking about the scene where they go through the plate glass window. I'm not kidding. |
This tangent in the other topic inspired me to create this one.
Here are my favourite scenes (I'll skip the most obvious ones)
- Matt, in the Night Nurse's clinic telling Urich to stop talking when he implies Matt having a nervous breakdown possibly linked to Karen's death.
- Daredevil mocking Sano Ren from the shadows in "King of hell's Kitchen's" finale.
- When Foggy suggests Matt to concede Milla what she wants about the cancelling of their marriage.
- Matt facing Jigsaw in his office and telling him that he's mistaking him for someone else.
- The scene in which Daredevil jumps on the rooftop to face Quinn, only a handful of seconds after the latter tried to snipe him and the Widow.
- Matt talking to Milla under the rain in the last issue of "the Widow".
- DD beating the daylights out of Bullet under the gaze of the blonde chick.
- Matt revealing himself to the church group at the beginning of the last issue of "Decalogue", telling them who Lawrence really is and threatening him.
- Kingpin, all tied up, holding his own against an irritated FBI director, calmly calling him "a liar and a bandit".
- Matt recomposing, after having imagined what would've happened if he had fled from the trial, and pleading himself not guilty, in "the Murdock papers" finale.
- The Owl laughing at Kingpin at Rykers, remarking that "Revenge is a bitch". |

Maybe this isn't on everyone's list, but this past weekend I was in a Halloween mood and read Decalogue again.
Barfing up a demon and blowing one's brains out at the same time isn't something I'm ever going to forget. It was great horror scene and nice to see in a Daredevil comicbook that could always use some more horror elements.

- Foggy first sees the Globe paper outing Matt.
- DD sneaks up on Kingpin sitting in the dark, when Fisk is still blind.
- Fisk hunts down his former associate in South America.
- Vanessa Fisk has her son killed _________________ "Flash is back. Worlds will die again!" |

I love all of those moments.
I'll add:
- Matt having dinner with Vanessa Fisk and commenting that losing a child is the hardest thing for a parent.
- Milla's "death" in the Murdock Papers. Bendis had me. I totally fell for it.
- DD beating down Kingpin with the changing artists. _________________ "Why should I be frightened of dying?

Oh yeah, seeing one of my favorite DD scenes (end of v2 #50) redrawn by the great Phil Hester (in #65)! _________________ "Flash is back. Worlds will die again!" |

In no particular order...
--Daredevil carving a bullseye in Bullseye's forehead.
--Daredevil declaring himself Kingpin.
--The Ori Sano interrogation by Special Agent Driver
--Matt confronted by Peter Parker, Luke Cage, Steven Strange, and Reed Richards in Central Park. |

YES! This is my favorite BENDIS! moment. The fact that Fisk was scared to death was a nice moment....I'm sure that there are others, but that one came immediately to mind. I also liked how Maleev would show DD's eyes in the shadows. Creepy, almost cinematic, moments. |

The moment that really sticks out for me is when the press is gathered at Matt's home and Matt (as DD) takes off his mask while crouched on the light post high above. Good stuff.

The very first issues are great, with all the noise and sensory overload just after Nitro lows himself up.
"I know... my life is over". Still one of my favourite scenes.
Matt declaring himself Kingpin was also great.
The Yakuza fight in the rain was excellent.
All the art in "Golden Age", too. Brilliant stuff.
And on a less serious note, I also love the moment when Matt pretends to Foggy that he didn't know his first costume was yellow. |

I think that one of the things I'll miss most of Maleev is the characteristical "Daredevil grin/gritted teeth". |

Some of mine:
As JC noted:
- the crashing save of Milla by DD and that following scene before he leaves. Classic damsel in distress moment.
As Forrest noted:
- Foggy first sees the Globe paper outing Matt. Perfect expression.
- DD sneaks up on Kingpin sitting in the dark, when Fisk is still blind. A truly terror-filled moment for KP.
As Francesco noted:
- When Foggy suggests Matt to concede Milla what she wants about the cancelling of their marriage. What a friend would say to his best friend.
-Matt talking to Milla under the rain in the last issue of "the Widow". How a man who still loves a woman would act.
Foggy and Matt on the phone after Matt wakes up from the beating by the Yakusa: "I thought it was yellow."
And the scene where Milla comes to Matt's office the first time to introduce herself and thank him for saving her. The expressions Maleev used there were just fantastic. Maleev does so much with body language. _________________ Alice

-The Bullseye in the shadows on Matt's apartment is one of the creepiest things I've seen in comics.
-Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Spider-Man fight together. You can't beat that.
-Vanessa Fisk executing her son
-The collage in the Murdock Papers of everyone before Matt's trial
-The flashback of Bont taking out that old school hero in the flashback was pretty cool.
-Matt vs. The Yakunza and no one able to give an accurate description.
-Daredevil through the mist telling Del Toro to jump to him. _________________ A man without hope is a man without fear
