The Message Board is currently in read-only mode, as the software is now out of date. Several features and pages have been removed. If/When I get time I intend to re-launch the board with updated software.

Yeah, that was pretty much what I heard before too. One thing I wonder about though, is what they mean by "in continuity" in this situation. I get that they don't mean it as a "What if?" story, but with a book that should have many years left in it (I mean the writing is excellent and the sales should be okay), it's hard to imagine them writing his death according to ongoing continuity and then the regular writers just keep writing him "beyond his death" (if that makes sense). On the other hand, they say it's all supposed to happen in the future, so when they mean "in continuity" they might be introducing some events (such as marriage partners, friends etc) that then have to be forced into regular continuity somewhere down the line. What do you think? I'm a little confused. I don't think I'll be able to read it though. I don't like the idea of him dying. Ever. Sad Okay, so now I'm sounding a little nutty, but you know what I mean.

Personally, for all the "continuity" talk, I regard it as an alternative story.

To have Matt's future in "The End" (whatever it may be) to be in continuity would tie Brubaker or any future DD writer's plans... An idea to which I don't warm to
