That's awesome! Very Happy

I'm not annoyed at all these delays because at this point it's funny! Like clockwork, every month we get a ~month delay in the scheduled release of DD: Father #6. We should take bets on which month it will actually be released. I'm thinking sometime in November... Razz

Delays do not bother me. The finale's gonna be great. It'll be worth it when it comes out.

IMO, there really hasn't been anything "great" about this story. Heck, even the cliffhanger of the last issue is pretty anti-climactic, what with the fate of Foggy in the regular series. And, what Joey Q. is alluding to regarding the Murdock family sounds pretty crappy--IF he continues in that direction. To be honest, I may actually skip the last issue, cause if Quesada goes though with what he may go though with, I'm not considering it "canon." I just don't know if I want to get this anymore.

To each his own.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE DD: Father, so far! I will definitely pick it up no matter when it comes out (unlike DD: Target, which I will never pick up no matter what). The art is some of my favorite DD art ever (no joke), and I LOVE that we're seeing a gripping, non-Kevin Smith, non-Miller story that deals with Matt's parent(s)! Good stuff!

Still, the scheduling is silly. I don't know why there is even a release date. It would be more logically to just ship it out when it's done, without any warning to the retailers.

I'll probably pick up the trade of it when it comes out. I bought the first issue when it first came out, but after the long delay I decided to wait for the trade.

I don't. Maybe a decade or so after Quesada leaves the Chimp Chair Marvel will have recovered and be worth buying again. Maybe.

Just for the funnies can someone remind us all when Father #1 shipped?

I was gonna buy the trade when it eventually came out but now I probably won't. There no defence for delays like this. It's just silly.

I'll still buy the final FATHER issue (if old age hasn't finished me off by then!) when it comes out, but believe me I'm not holding my breath here.
There's plenty of other things in life and Marvel comics to be getting on with, for instance, the main Daredevil title, (of course!!) CIVIL WAR, I have just finished reading issue 2, WOW what an ending, infact, what a comic book full stop!!!. Not only that, but ASTONISHING X-MEN is excellent. when/if that gets back to monthly is anyones guess and also one of lifes great mysteries, how such an excellent title with such a strong following, can be left as a semi monthly issue, when there's so many monthlies out there which quite frankly do not even come close, is quite beyond me.....phew!
Anyway, life goes on and when the final FATHER is out (unless there's another issue added on yet again!!) I will buy it and read all the others (yet again!!) first, so I can remember what went before and then I can bag and board 'em and file put 'em away in my collection in a dark vault, safe in the knowledge that TARGET WILL FOLLOW SOON.........Cough!!!!! Wink

Apparently the plan has always been to have the first 6 issues of Joss' second "season" come out every two months and then have the last 6 come out monthly. So that's issues 13-18 once every two months and then 19-24 on a monthly basis. I think it has something to do with Joss' schedule.

JQ: Okay, here’s an example of what I mean.

I say:

“It’s been done and drawn for months, we’re just waiting on inks and colors.”

If you answered, “What is Daredevil Father #6?” you’d be wrong. The actual answer is,” What is Tom Brevoort’s new tattoo?”

NRAMA: Oh, good grief…

JQ: Well, actually both are right but you get the point. Okay, cool? Let’s play!!!

Done for months?? Seriously? Don't yank us.
If it's true, why does it take months for inks to get done?
