That cover to #100 looks fantastic!
And the news of Lark, Romita Sr., Colan, Maleev, Bermejo and Djurdjevic (and possibly more!) is even better.
Looks like Newsarama will be having more interviews with the DD team, so watch for updates. _________________ Kuljit Mithra

Gosh... it is really spectacular!!
I wonder whether the cover is "simbolic" or it really means that it is going to be an action-packed, explosive issue... I'm really looking forward to it.
The baddies featured are very intriguing, too... And make me think that #99 will be something to look at, too _________________ Gloria

Love that it's a wraparound cover. Very nice stuff. _________________ Alice

I think it's symbolic, because I don't see Wilson Fisk in the midst of a battle with ninjas.
It's a fantastic cover, but I like only the right half. |

I haven't been a big fan of this cover artist, up to this point I thought he was just okay, but I've gotta say this upcoming cover for #100 looks fantastic. I agree, that the cover must be symbolic, due to the inclusion of Kingpin, but hey, you never know. I have one question. Who is the guy with the red hair and beard, next to the Gladiator? _________________ It's never too late to have a happy childhood! |

Is it a crazy looking Owl? [Further evidence that it's symbolic, perhaps?]
Is DD gonna join up with the Avengers? |

Also, shouldn't Spidey wear the black costume?
Wasn't Elektra Killed in New Avengers (she looks really good though, my congratulations to Djurdevic)? |

They better release this cover as a poster or a lithio. I want this hanging up.

Neilan, he immediatly reminded me of Machinesmith, because of the red hair and the goatee... However, last time I saw him around the guy was bald, and yet...
Machinesmith was also known as Starr Saxon, an old daredevil foe, and he's been also Mr. Fear for a time... Interesting, huh? I'm starting to THINK it is him with a wig or a similar false hair complement.
And then there's also a baddie who seems to have a purple skin?
Nuff said! just speculating... But I admit I am indeed curiouser and curiouser _________________ Gloria

The guy with the red hair and beard is, without question, The Owl. I have no idea who the guy with white hair (beside Typhoid) is though. Bushwacker? Maybe Purpleman?
The only thing that makes me think it's not entirely symbolic is the sort of weird line up of villians. Kingpin, okay. Typhoid, okay. Bullseye, okay. Tombstone? Errrr. Is he really a big enough DD villian to put on the 100th cover? They're squared off...what....three times? Maybe it's just all the Volume 2 villians (although Purpleman hasn't shown up in Volume 2 yet).
I hate to be the wet blanket but I'm not blown away by the cover. DD's pose is awkward at best. Why is his hip out like that? Focus on DD in the picture and imagine him saying "one, two, cha, cha, cha". He looks like he's mid-dance move.
I like the ninja's though. _________________ JC

Ya, and he's angry because his buddies keep doing the wrong steps, and he's having to show them yet again.
Also, Bullseye looks stranded, like if he didn't know how he ended up in such a crowded place. He looks also irritated, as if he's missing an episode of "Lost", because someone dragged him in there so that he could feature in the cover of #100.
Also, is the Owl a scary, prominent DD villain anymore? The last two times they met, DD has beaten him up like a schoolboy, with no troubles of sort.
And Melvin Potter is not intimidating at all. Maybe if he was drawn bigger... |

Or he's just sort of leaving because he didn't get centre stage. _________________ JC

Yeah, on further inspection, you guys are definitely right. I hadn't notice the pointyness of the beard before. The bold red of his hair is what had me fooled. I originally thought it was a stylized version of Willie the Groundskeeper from The Simpsons, but he never appeared in Vol. 2, so it's gotta be the Owl. _________________ It's never too late to have a happy childhood! |

I don't buy monthly comics anymore but this looks too good to miss so I'm definetly getting it. Also 104 pages, that's pretty great! Some great artists there too.
It's funny though but you think about it, it's not really DD's 100th issue. If it still went by the old numbering it would be 481. _________________ "This isn't hell, but you can see it from here." -The Crow |

That means 19 issues later, we get a supersized issue #500! _________________ "Flash is back. Worlds will die again!" |
