So what did you think of the latest issue?

A for sure.

I honestly was not to amped for this arc when I first herd of it. But I have to say after reading the last two issues, it's been simply stunning so far.
Brubaker seems to know which characters I enjoy reading somehow. Iron Fist and Black Tarantula seem are making an appearance in DD right now, and Batroc is currently in Cap.

I can't wait to see what happens next!

I have to say that I liked this issue, but I didn't love it. Matt is being all moody again...not that he doesn't have a reason, but I was looking forward to an issue or two that didn't revolve around Matt sulking. Oh well. I do have to say that I really like the way Brubaker is working out Dakota's character. I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

Well, anything other than Matt sulking (in the way he does - i.e. being disappointed in himself) would have been inappropriate, I think.

I really liked this issue. All of it. There is a nice mystery in just what exactly Lady B and her accomplice need with BT and Iron Fist and those scenes are incredibly nicely drawn, too. I liked how the affair and the arrest were handled and I liked the cliffhanger ending. What I don't like is having to wait one more month until #113. Darn serialized fiction...

Favorite part:

"You did not just angry-walk right past me, Matt Murdock."

Laughing Love that she called him out on it. Instead of doing the typical thing you usually see, which is stare after the departing person with a confused, distraught look. He needed to be talked through it, and Dakota isn't insecure enough to take anything he says as an offense, so that much at least is healthy about their relationship (even if the previous circumstances weren't).

Yeah, I agree. I think in general, Bru is nailing her characterization. Dakota North really feels like a flesh and blood person, which is great.

I hope that her personality traits get toned down a little, however, because the way she's shrugging off what has happened and Matt's depression about it seems a little excessive.

first of all, I noticed, by surfing the net, that many of the bloggers who, in the previous months were chanting their "This Daredevil sucks" or "I'm a-gonna drop the title" tiresome mantras, now confess that they are becoming quite enticed again about reading the title each month... This further strenghtens my view that all teh previous stories were written by Brubaker in order to clear/close inherited plot elements from previous tenures, in order to write the DD stories he wanted to write.

This one's got many interesting elements: action, two fine allies of Matt, Inspector Kurtz, as well as the the intriguing, beer-drinking, Muten Rōshi-type ancient fellow which shows up in the last page. If I consider it a near--perfect issue, but not a perfect one, is because of the absence of Foggy... Come on! the Dakota-Matt affair just begged for a memorable Nelson scene!

I must say I like the dialogs between Bullseye-josho and her second-in-command are topping: what i wouldn't give for a LB second/Foggy conversation while the watch the She-Bullseye and DD fighting each other (in the old Weasel/Foggy manner of yore).

BTW, I love Dakota's positive "Don't look back, get on with it" attitude, it provides a nice contrast with Matt's trademark gloom (I'm not necessarily saying "She's right, and he's not", I consider that each of their point of views has valid items, it's just that the difference in opinions makes for a very dinamic relationship)

So, Dakota's walking Matt back to his apartment at night while trying hard to alleviate his guilt over his infidelity with her. Was she planning to head home in the middle of the night or... if not for that inconvenient break-in to Matt's house, was she planning to spend the night?

Seems to me she was revving Matt up for Round 2.

I'm also enjoying the Dakota/Matt part. But...

I wasn't thrilled to see Secret Invasion seeping into this book. Also, while Lady Bullseye's introduction was handled very well last issue, I'm not exactly sure what the testing of Black Tarantula and Iron Fist was all about. It was as if Carlos and Danny knock around some members of the Hand while she looks on, then she says, "That's enough," and flips away. And it always seems that Black Tarantula's exposure in Daredevil always comes at the expense of Daredevil's.

Still, I'm curious as to where this goes.
