OK, best I can tell, here are the options:
Keep going (Wake Up by Bendis, drawn by Mack). Cool story, but might be a little difficult to find things to talk about each week.
Skip ahead (e.g., start with a Bendis/Maleev story: Underboss, Trial of a Century, etc.)
Go somewhere else: Pick stories not in the current run, such as:
Man Without Fear (Miller)
Redemption
Some other author (Nocenti, Chichester, classic Miller)
Other suggestions welcome. My only request is not Brubaker or more recent since I'm not going to have them just yet. _________________ Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother

As long as it's available on Comixology or Marvel Unlimited, I'm fine with whatever. |

I'm fine with continuing to move forward in Volume 2, although I wouldn't want to skip "Playing to the Camera" after "Wake Up." I know it was never collected in trade, but it should be pretty easy to find in back issue bins. I'm going to be working from individual issues for "Wake Up."
I think it would be interesting also to look at mini-series. There have been both good and awful ones. Actually Daredevil/Spider-Man would be quite interesting to do after "Parts of a Hole."
As for Miller, I've read all of his runs so many times, as wonderful and definitive as they are, I don't feel I would be likely to rediscover anything. Nocenti could be interesting, although there are large parts of her run that haven't been collected. Same thing with O'Neil.
Actually, I would really like to do Daredevil/Spider-Man next. I don't know how hard it would be to find these days. |

Keep in mind, if it's something that I need to order, I'm not going to get it within a couple of days. So "Playing to the Camera," Daredevil-Spider-Man," etc. couldn't start next week (if I were to participate).
That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to it. Or we could do Wake Up and keep this discussion going in order to give more time to get what's next. My only problem with Wake Up is the story is just so sparse, I don't think there's a lot to discuss. _________________ Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother

I'm conflicted. I just got the Bendis collection a few weeks ago and have been reading through it. It seems odd to me to go back and start re-reading it when I haven't even finished the whole thing to begin with. That said, I'll do it if everyone else wants to. If we're worried about Bendis's "decompressed" style, maybe we could do two issues per week instead of one.
I liked somebody else's idea a little while back of doing The Man Without Fear. That was the first story I got since I started collecting again, and it's been three years since I've touched it. That's just my HO, though. I don't want to hold everyone else back if you want to read something else. I have a lot of holes in my collection so I won't be able to keep up with everything. |

Man Without Fear would be fine with me. |

OK, let's do Man Without Fear since there seems to be at least a consensus fine with it. _________________ Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother

May I propose the following, simply because I would most like to read other people's opinions:
Daredevil: Father
Daredevil: Redemption
Daredevil: Lone Stranger
Daredevil/Spider-Man
Fall From Grace |

I haven't read Father or Redemption so either would be interesting. Especially since I could probably mock them which is more fun. Speaking of which, I also vote for End of Days because it would be super fun to deconstruct that train wreck.
On the positive side, Lone Stranger or Fall From Grace would be fun. I think Daredevil/Spider-Man is too obscure to do maybe? That said, I barely remember it so maybe it'd be good.
My top three are Father, End of Days and Redemption. _________________ JC

I'd be up for Father, Redemption, or Spider-Man. I don't believe the others are available yet on either Comixology or Marvel Unlimited. I'd be okay with End of Days, too. For me, it's simply a question of "Can I get it digitally?" |

Father and Daredevil/Spiderman are issues I don't have access to at the moment. I can get them but it would take some time.
Redemption is a fun story and I'd be in favor of that, but it leans a little less superhero than most.
Fall from Grace still gives me nightmares, but I do have it and would love the opportunity to rant about my opinions on it being a bloated mess.
Lone Stranger is interesting, but it's not really a storyline. It starts in the middle of one and ends in the middle of one. Even skipping the Ultron story that follows, it should realistically include the literal journey to hell to be complete. Still, I'm a bigger fan of Nocenti than most and wouldn't mind covering these stories if others are interested.
We can also go to Bendis if we want (ideally with Maleev as opposed to Mack). Maybe Trial of the Century if we want to pick and choose among the best. _________________ Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother

BTW, does anyone know if Marvel Unlimited has a free trial period? I don't really want to pay for the service because I know I won't use it enough to justify the cost, but it'll really open up a lot of opportunities if it does. _________________ Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother

I'm not sure if they do. I took out a yearly subscription when I found out about it, but googling tells me only that they had one back in May-June 2014 as a promo, not whether there's anything similar now.
They have monthly subscriptions too.
Sorry not to be more help. |
