Martial artist Iron Fist investigates a break-in at a company owned by his alter-ego, Danny Rand. He finds Daredevil and Captain America fighting the System Crash villains Steel Collar and Techno-Spike. It distracts the heroes long enough for the shapes-shifting Infomorph to download Knowbot's files to a hard drive. The villains escape with Knowbot's stolen U.S. government files. The only clue Daredevil finds is a leaf from a rare Asian plant.
Back in the city, one of Karen Page's old porno film producers gives her a computer disk. It's a pitch for their newest business, "Teledildonics". Spectrum tells a story about why the "information superhighway" shouldn't be controlled by the powerful elite. Matt, as "Jack Batlin", is introduced to Stithy,a welder, by the guy he helped in issue #327. "Jack" tells Stithy he'll stop the city from condemning his home, if Stithy let's "Jack" stay at his other place. That's when Matt hears the news: The Avengers and Fantastic Four are helping the army establish a virtual martial law in certain New York neighborhoods.
At the botanical gardens, Killobyte's brother reluctantly takes over the
costumed identity. Baron Strucker gloats over his group's success. As
the "Silicon Pirates", System Crash has scared the government into
curtailing civil liberties. Strucker will exploit this culture of fear to
serve Hydra.
