Issue SummarySummary by Gloria Porta
Larry Cranston, a.ka. Mr. Fear, rests in his lavish penthouse and rejoices in how good life is to him. Thanks to the drugs that the late Dante Govich (whom he has killed) developed for him after the original formulas by Zoltan Drago, Cranston is a powerful man: he has all the women he wants, he lives in luxury without expending a dime, he has an army of men ready to follow his orders... and, on top of all that, he's making Matt Murdock's life miserable.
Cranston leaves his bed, where he's spent the night well accompanied, in order to to get a bit of physical training, but even though he has the best trainers available, he needs little skill to beat them: they're so afraid of hurting him, that he can easily avoid his blows, and strike back as much as he pleases. As his training is over, a mauled Ox enters with bad news.
We get to see what has happened before in the day: Ox is mobbing a bar owner in order to force him to "move" Fear's "product", and suddenly Montana crashes through the window. The Wrecker and Razor Fist, two of the Hood's minions, are there to claim the territory. The Enforcers start to fight them back: this is witnesed by a patrolling policeman, who calls for some back up. NYPD's Detective Kurtz hears that through the radio, and phones Dakota North.
At the offices of the District Attorney, Matt and Foggy are about to take Milla's defence and Dakota is with them. Foggy is worried about Matt being at the edge, as this might make him too emotional to defend his wife properly. Dakota receives Kurtz's call and tells Matt about it. Foggy tells Matt that he will take Milla's defence, so Daredevil can go for Cranston.
Daredevil reaches the scene: as he can't fight by himself those five ultra-powered and highly skilled foes, he manoeuvres so they fight and harm each other. While he's engaged in fighing the Wrecker, the Enforcers leave at the sight of the police, and to heal Fancy Dan's wounds. Daredevil notices the Enforcers are gone, but before he can follow them, the Wrecker drops a brick wall upon him.
The Ox ends his report to Cranston: he thinks Murdock must be knocked out, and no longer someone to be concerned about. But Mr. Fear knows better: Matt is a survivor and will be back to fight them.
Matt wanders through the sewers to return home. He broods about loosing Mr. Fear's track and not being able to help Milla, when he notices there is people at his house: Foggy has managed to get Milla's release, though she must remain under house arrest and Matt's custody until the trial comes. Apparently, Lily Lucca wasn't too sure about Milla's acts in her testimony, so Foggy was able to successfully make a case for Milla upon that. However, Milla has to remain at home and be under constant control and medication by a nurse. While not entirely happy about that, Matt is immensely relieved to have his wife back at home.
Back in his suite, Larry Cranston doesn't seem concerned about Milla's release: everything's going as he planned it.
