Issue Summary

Summary by Gloria Porta

Lily Lucca exits hurriedly from the Murdocks' household. She's terrified and calls for a cab. She mutters to herself: "Matt... I'm so sorry..."

Five days ago, Lily found an unwanted visitor when she returned home: Mr. Fear. Under his gas' persuasion, he told her to testify in favour of Milla so she'd be released, among other errands he wanted her to do for him. In exchange, he offered to eliminate the effects of the pheromone perfume he made for Vanessa Fisk, and he offers Matt Murdock to her, too, if that's what she wants.

Back to the present, a chained Ox doesn't believe that Matt will seriously hurt him to force him into giving any information. But Matt does, making a temporarily blinded Ox believe he's burning him with blow torch, though actually he's just presing determined nervous spots to cause him intense pain. Daredevil knows that he must make Ox more frightened of him than he is from his boss, Mr. Fear.

Ox finally gives up and gives Daredevil a location where he can find Cranston, and Matt leaves to his next objective, leaving Ox chained in the warehouse. The Hood has been following Matt and wakes up the Ox, offering help: Ox just needs a phone.

Matt reaches Cranston's regal hotel suite and knocks every bodyguard in the way towards his enemy's room. But there he only finds a woman in bed. She's got a note for Matt: he's too late.

Matt rushes back to his appartment. Elsa the nurse lies on the ground, badly wounded. He calls an ambulance. Milla sits in the ground of her room, in shock, her hands bloodied. Foggy and Assistant DA Algren reach the place as Milla is being taken away by the police. And this time there is little Foggy can do, in spite of his arguments to Algren, there seems to be little hope for Milla now. When everybody has gone, Matt has something to do: he has picked Karen Page's scent, so he knows where he must head next.

Lily Lucca is awakened by a notably enraged Matt. He's angry at her for screwing the second chance he gave him. In his wrath, he chokes Lily, but stops before going too far. Lily tells that there's something in her smell that drives Milla crazy: under Fear's orders, she went to visit her, and that triggered Milla's mad agression to Elsa. She tells Matt in tearful shame that Fear will come to her place to give her the reward for what she's done, but first he must attend a meeting in the Kitchen.

Mr. Fear and two bodyguards reach a bar where Ox is waiting for them. The bodyguards are shot in the back by The Hood: "I told you to come alone". Both villains aim at each other, Hood with his guns, Mr. Fear with his gas-propeling gauntlet. The Hood stops aiming at Fear as a sign of appeasement: "guess it's time you and I came to an understanding".
