Having opinions is OK (and I personally agree with yours, about the X-men), provoking/attempting to offend those who disagree isn't.
In my opinion, of course. |

You're the one who provoked/attempted to offend me. Which makes you a raging hypocrite.
In my opinion. _________________ JC

I'm just expressing my opinion. What's wrong with that? Aren't I entitled to an opinion? I can't believe some people on this board (i.e. Francesco) can be so intolerant when it comes to other people having opinions. It's your way or the highway, huh? |
The comment confounds me. I was under the impression that the INTOLERANCE began by slandering the preference FOR the 60s X-Men issues in the first place.
If you don't have anything nice to say . . .

Check what I found:
Silver Samurai plunges sword in Woverine's neck - Uncanny #173
T-Rex eats Wolverine - Wolverine: The Jungle Adventure
^ Savage Land: also why I mostly hate X-men, along with Mojo world
The famous Magneto ripping out his skeleton X-men #25
Thanos makes Logan this bag of flesh, blood, and guts in Infinity Gauntlet #4
Punisher vol. 3 #17 - Frank steamrolls him
Uncanny #162 - Brood fetus (ugh!)
Uncanny Annual #1 Horde rips out Wolvie's heart. |
Also, if I recall correctly, in Frank Tieri's run on Wolverine, Logan gets shot, often very badly, in nearly every issue.
Now I can understand that he can heal from bullet wounds, but he doesn't even show any sign of pain, and doesn't even recoil, as he was some sort of T-1000, not just a guy with regeneration.
In an issue, Lady Deathstrike even pierces him in the stomach with a katana (nothing compared to what was previously listed, but still...). |

I just like Wolverine's demeanor and attitude. I don't like the X Men at all but that is my opinion. His healing factor is just a way for really cool violent things to happen to him and not kill him. Continuity isn't everything entertainment is more important. _________________ yUP |

Well, I agree about continuity being less important than entertainment.
About the "coolness" of seeing violent things happening to a character without killing, I don't know.
I prefer the "coolness" of a character having to suffer violent things if he has too, and get through them in some ways that put in evidence his abilities/skills/resourcefulness, not just because he can simply "not be killed by it because of a (variably defined) regeneration". |

I was generalizing. I don't really like the idea but it seems to be the case. _________________ yUP |

I like Wolverine a lot though. Though the only Wolverine comics I read were what's in Essential Wolverine Volume 1 and 2, Essential X-Men Volume 1 (Though I haven't finished reading it yet), Secret Wars (The Original), his first appearance in Incredible Hulk #180 and 181, and all the issues of Hulk Wolverine Six hours. But that's all I've read with him.
I think he's really cool. He's my favorite X-Man next to Gambit. _________________ "Helpful. Cooperative. Stupid. That's my boys." Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) Welcome Back Frank Series.

I've never read much of Wolverine BUT the concept of the healing is pretty damn cool, but with all cool ideas it can be horribly farfetched _________________ The Wheeln' Dealin' Kiss stealin jet flying limozine ridin' Phenom that is Todd "Top" Quality |

Sorry, bub. I disagree. Because I can't tolerate your opinion.
60's X-men > James Castle > Barney the dinosaur.
The truth is that I am an intolerant, hypocrite and... what was the other one? Ah, childish.
Which, translated from castlish to english means "I pointed out that he shouldn't take it personal when he disagrees with someone about what X-men are and what aren't". |

Who's taking it personal? The kid posted a clearly ridiculous opinion. I said it was ridiculous.
You came in and demanded we all be friends and demonstrated your lack of appreciation for the irony of your stupid position.
I pointed out a bit of your silliness.
You're the one who's taking it personally. To me it's just a message board. Everyone has the right to be a little less than passibly intelligent and I have the right to point that out when it happens.

Listen up. I'm the best there is at what I do. And what I do ain't "tolerating different opinions".
And maybe, I'm not good at disequations, either. I have switched signs in the last one.
But now, I have been enlighted:
That's right guys. X-men are mostly about space.
And, whoever thinks differenty should go back writing bad fanfics. Those insolent raging hypocrites. |
