The original Daredevil! (the one holding the boomerangs) This is a pretty sweet poster. Justice was a great series and I'll definetly give this one a shot. No mention of Ross doing any interior work on this though.

Dynamite is an amazing publisher! Since Busiek left Conan, I have been reading more Dynamite than Dark Horse. _________________ "Flash is back. Worlds will die again!" |

I've been thinking of buying the Justice HCs. Good series? Is it an Elseworld's/Kingdom Come sort of dealie? _________________ JC

Justice was not pushed as an Elseworlds. It is a classic Silver-Age JLA vrs. Legion of Doom story that is quite self-contained. Simply put, it is Alex's love letter to the Super Friends cartoon show, but done in more complex adult manner. I don't think it is quite on par with Kingdom Come, but it certainly was not far off from it either. Very entertaining. I have the issues, but I am holding out for an Absolute Edition that will, without a doubt, see a release in the next year or two (about the same timeline it took DC: the New Frontier to get the treatment).

Really looking forward to this one! I have yet to see Ales Ross give his take on Matt though. |

Don't look forward too hard. The "Daredevil" or "Devil" in this mini-series isn't Matt. It's a different, earlier "Daredevil". Check out:

I'm interested to see what they do with this series. I expect alot out of Alex Ross and I'm enjoying Justice. I just want to see where this series can go and if it will have the kind of impact on the comic community that Kingdom Come had. |

I think it's gonna be pretty cool. At first I thought they were just reviving some old publisher's characters. Turns out they're actually using a bunch of characters from different sources that have fallen into public domain. Very cool.
It's like the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen except instead of taking old characters for literature and making them superheroes they're taking old superheroes and making them...superheroes. Whatever, sounds cool. _________________ JC

Yeah I know that, I know all about Bart hill, I downloaded a bunch of his comics from the Golden age site that allows you to down load public domain comics. I was saying that I have yet to see Alex Ross paint Marvels Daredevil. If anyone wants the link to download golden age DD stuff let me know. I really enjoyed them until "the little wise guys" came into the series. Hopefully they will not be in 'Superpowers'. |
