That's one cool stamp, Francesco!

As Darediva said: they should have asked us! Wink

I'm bringing here three further DD stamps, coming from the jolly State of Freedonia ("Hail, hail, Freedonia, Land of the brave and free"), and devoted also to members from DDs secondary cast.

We all know the main supplier humour to the DD series, namely Mr. Nelson, always brings a touch of high-class sitcom comedy to lighten the grim and gritty world of Hell's Kitchen. However, knowing how irrepressible Freedonian character is, their Dd stamps are devoted to Daredevil's Screwball comedy experts:

Master underdog Turk, who dreams of grandeur, even if he is a rather smalleur-time con.

Under-underdog Grotto. Not the most brilliant set of neurones around, but way smarter than his partner Turk (not that it takes so much!) Laughing

And the new & promising Droll Duet of Hell's Kichten: Merv and Chico!

Becky Blake

Here it is for you to behold, on her very first appearance in Daredevil.

It is curious that artists usually portray her as a mousy type of girl, when the Great -and late Crying or Very sad- Frank Robbins depicted her as a rather gorgeous girl with a very forward attitude

Gloria, that may be the greatest thing I've seen all day, which is saying something because I just saw a JLA recreation of the Last Supper with Batman as Jesus! Very Happy

Forrest: the merit belongs to Frank Robbins: I just cut and pasted and retouched a few bits.

BTW, is there a link to that "last Supper" image? Sounds like it is worth watching... (and if Blue Beetle and Booster Bold are pranking in the background that sure will make my day Wink )

First off, did you read the new Booster Gold #1?! That is one of the single best issues all year! Buy it! (Plus, you'll love the ending! Very Happy)

This is from the latest issue of Countdown (except the original Last Supper image Razz):

Yep, Hal Jordan is Judas...

A set of Daredevil Stamps wouldn't be complete without Matt Murdock's swingin' twin brother Mike (Sister Maggie, will you please explain about that?! Laughing )

Luckily, the fun-loving guys of the Freedonian Post didn't forget about him:

Forrest, thanks for the image!

No, I have not... Most USA comics I read only when they get published in me sunny shores in vernacular. However, I'll see if I can get a peek somehow in an USA comic-books store. (incidentally, I know who "Action Man" is, so the story about that Last supper scene must be pretty fun, I guess)

Forrest, if this were a scene of the Marvel Universe instead of the DCverse, I think the sentence would be "Hal Jordan is a Skrull!"

And now a Karen Page Memorial stamp

I recently read a comment online on a discussion over "Guardian Devil". Someone said that he didn't care about Karen Page being murdered because as a character "she was just a cipher"

Well, I got something against people considering characters (or other people) as "ciphers", but that fellow was wrong as hell: for Karen was someone beyond the cute but generic secretary that Stan Lee created. People like Frank Miller, Ann Nocenti or Karl Kesel made sure that she was more than "just a cipher". Much more than just a disposable item for writers. Much more.

But then you can't really kill fictional characters , in a way, they are immortal.

in memoriam Karen Page

Except Kevin Smith.

One of my favourite comics covers EVER is the wonderful Church vitrail-like one David Mazzuchelli did for the "Born Again" volume.

And one particular detail was just screaming at me: "STAMP! STAMP!"

Even with the "Revenge" series of stamps, no one seems to care about Daredevil.

I'm sure you do. Post your own Stamps of Ol' Hornhead as much as you wish.

The motto of this thread is:
No Whining, No Wailing: ACTION!... POST YOUR STAMPS!

Oh, now I feel like singing...

"When trumpets were mellow
And every gal only had one fellow
No need to remember when
'Cause everything old is new again"

So here's a stamp commemorating Murdock and Cranston's first date... By the Golden Gate

"San Francisco, open your golden gate
You let no stranger wait outside your door"
