So there's clearly a theme in my last 2 posts. As my collection nears completion, I'm picking up variants and reprints on ebay, usually in the $1-5 range. Not that exciting, but they're the kind of issues that I could look for forever in stores and never find, with little payoff besides. Toybiz reprints mostly.

One that caught my eye on ebay (and I bought for a buck) is a 273 reprint. Other than minor color/print variations, it is virtually identical except for the following things:

-No UK cover price
-UPC logo is Spidey 30th anniversary instead of Spidey head
-Ads are all different (they're all for Marvel comics or for tie-in games, etc.)
-"SECOND PRINTING" printed at bottom of page 1.

The ads all have 1992 copyright dates on them, and the UPC style puts it somewhere around issues 302-313.

But I have no idea why they would have bothered to reprint this issue 3 years after the fact. It's not a pivotal issue, with no exciting guest stars (Shotgun? Gorgon? Nubmer 9?).

Does anyone have any insight into this? Thanks!
