Shall we see Natasha Romanoff in "Daredevil" in the near future?
After having seen her in the daydream sequences of #100, and since she is appearing currently in the Captain America series .. I wonder if Brubaker has plans with her in DD.
I know that the Black Widow may be more at home in a plot, such as the current one in CA -i.e. related to world spionage-, more than in the tiny frame of Hell's Kitchen.
Still, I think she makes a terrific team-up with Matt (and occasionally with Foggy, too, LOL), so I wouldn't mind her to drop for a visit to his old pal Murdock _________________ Gloria

Indeed. And this is one of those moments when, like theorized by Peter David, the two magical words come through.
"Why not?" |

Since Natasha is registered and DD isn't, it could make for some good stories for them to clash with each other over this. Maybe a story we're she is supposed to go after him or something brought on by that ass Tony Stark. Who knows? I'd love to see her in the comic again, they had a great dynamic with each other I think. She is just a great character in any case. _________________ "This isn't hell, but you can see it from here." -The Crow |

You're right, I want really to see both Tony Stark and Natasha in the DD book in the near future.
There is some bad blood between Stark and Matt with this story of registration, and knowing that both men were in love with the beautfull red head girl, there is some pretty interesting interaction possible between the three. |

I don't know, man. I like all those characters, but I worry that a properly-written Tony Stark would wrap up DD and have him in a SHIELD cell in minutes. In fact, he could just send some people to do it, and then we'd get to see a great "interrogation" scene where Matt told him off on the helicarrier while using his senses to probe the physiologically evident cracks in Tony's psyche. Then Tony would ask him to join the MA, DD would refuse, and Tony would let him "get away" on the proviso that Matt stick to the Kitchen, or some such. Er, that's my guess. |

Ug. No thanks. How is it that Natasha, an ex-Soviet, has jumped on the Big Brother Registration train? Does that make any sense at all? No.
As for Stark being in DD:
Stark: Alright Murdock, maybe we can't prove you're Daredevil but we highly suspect you are. We're taking you in.
Matt: What are you talking about? Of course I'm Daredevil and of course you know that. The Avengers and Shield have known that I'm Daredevil for years. Christ, obviously Natasha knows who I am.
Stark: Right, well, that doesn't matter now. The point is that we've tracked you down.
Matt: Tracked me down? What? To the law office with my name on it? Good work. Well, I guess if I wasn't here you could have "tracked me down" at my house. I let you in for god's sake.
Stark: Um. Well, look, the point is that it's illegal to be a Superhero now.
Matt: It's always been illegal.
Stark: ....
Matt: Trust me, I know.
Stark: I need a drink.
Mephesto: If you both let me rearrange your entire pasts in sort of a fairly random way I'll make it so this conversation never happened.
Matt: You can do that?
Mephesto: Sure.
Yeah, no thanks. _________________ JC

I found an interesting and in-depth essay that explores the complicated thirty year relationship between Daredevil and Black Widow on Kevin Hall's Daredevil Resource website.
You can find it at: http://daredevil.dreamhost.com/clwidow.htm
A couple of the interesting perspectives explored include:
i) Natasha is the "older woman" in Matt's life. In fact, given Marvel continuity (which the author identifies), the author theorizes that she's probably pushing 50 years old;
ii) In Marvel's history, Natasha was often the "it girl", who, as a result, over time was the female hero depicted as having a very robust sexual appetite (Iron Man, Hawkeye, Hercules and perhaps even Captain America). (To paraphrase a line from Bendis' great Alias series, Natasha was perhaps Marvel's first certified "Cape Chaser.") Yet, it was Daredevil who was - and remains - her true love.
Check it out if you've got some down time this Christmas Day.
On that note, allow me to echo Christine's closing comments by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and the best for a happy and healthy New Year!

lol james, you have forgotten the " it will erase your mariage and give your wife some super power. Why, I don't know but it's cool and I'm very evil ! "
You're so right to make fun of the crappy " one more day " ( well, since " sin past " amazing spiderman has been pure crap )
No what I said about Tony Stark ( and I didn't write iron man ) was that Matt and him have a past that can make some interesting stories, but they are strangely never shown together.
when were they shown together in the same story ? The first, if I remember, was a short appearance of iron man in born again.
In Sendis secret war I don't remember an exchange between the two, and in the beginning of new avenger, Matt refused the job too quickly to have many scene in common.
Yes, there was " civil war ", but it wasn't Matt but Danny Rand under the mask.
We can only speculate what they think of each other ( but it's pretty clear today that they are clearly antagonist )
it's interesting. both were in love with natasha, but it's pretty clear that Natasha love Matt more.
Yes, She has chosen the pro reg side, but remember the bendis era, she has done everything she could to save Matt.
Matt has proclamed himself kingpin ( and for the first time before the civil war storyline, a hero has " crossed the line " )
Matt and Tony Stark have both an opposite answer for every problem. Tony pushed Spiderman to reveal his real ID whereas Matt said the opposite in the " king of hell's kitchen ". Stark wants registered heroes whereas Matt try at any cost to keep his secret ID even if it cause frictions with the authorities...
Stark is richer and more powerfull that Matt, but what is fun is that Peter Parker or Natasha seems to care more of the poor blind lawyer than him. What a big insult for such a selfish guy like him. He may be really pissed by the man without fear, even if he had other " more important priority "
Yes, there is a rift between them, and I've the feeling that the conclusion of " without fear " will make him bigger.
what could have been a small jalousy may clearly become rivalty.
A common enemy for both ( like purple man ) may not have many difficulty to create a war between them ( he just had to do what he did with heather glenn's father, " persuading " Matt to sued stark compagny for some malversation or pollution and let's the war begins ! It seems professionnal but it's in fact personnal ) |
