Well, I'm going out of the country to work for two weeks so I won't be around, but I look forward to reading all the new posts when get back as the level of discourse is taken to whole new levels.
As for the comment above, I must say that I'm pleased. It's good to have you back, rgj! This one really brought a smile to my face. It's rare that you see such an exquisite blend of humor and sarcasm, and I'm glad I can be an inspiration to you!  Oh, wait! Did I just wink? My bad... *sigh* Did it again... I never learn, do I?
Meanwhile, how about people go discuss the latest issue? That's a thread I'd actually like to follow. And, speaking of which, good move to transer this thread to the off-topic section. It was a tad marginal to begin with, and by now it's definitely completely derailed. For my own contribution to that development, I apologize. Go in peace my friends!

Confused? Let me spell it out for you: While I pointed out in the very first post I made in response to blacktyphoid that this thread probably should have been posted in the off-topic section from the start, it was initially a somewhat entertaining thread of jokes and jabs that the people involved did for their own entertainment. Somewhere along the way, mud-slinging erupted, turning this thread into one that is most certainly not as interesting as discussing the latest issue. Understand?
I know that you're looking for some kind of contradiction between what I just posted and my willful participation in this thread (which isn't even the same thread anymore). There isn't one. There also isn't a contradiction between wanting to read people's opinions about the character, the book and other current issues related to Daredevil, AND having a little fun with other fans. Remember fun, JC? It's highly recommended.
So, yes, I prefer a Daredevil #106 discussion to mud-slinging. Don't look so shocked.

Couldn't be any more masturbatory than jumonji writing paragraphs and paragraphs about a topic when a sentence will do.
The whole 'academic' thing is lame, because she assumes that she IS the expert on these things--having never asked anyone else's credentials. And I'm left to sift through endless words to get the point. There always is one, to her credit, but still.
Yes, I am a graduate-level-degreed mechanical engineer, but the next time I bring up biomechanics and the relation to forces and stresses in human movement ('how strong does Matt's quick-twitch muscle fiber have to be to lift the limo in DD #47? OMG') will be the first.
