Well, it would certainly be easy for men to look up her skirt. And she would totally wear a skirt, because that would be a nice distraction and good offensive strategy. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

I mean really how often in the past has this concept worked. Plus another ninja girl?! Come on. I mean by her nature she will never outshine the first Bullseye and will always be in his shadow, not much of a future for this character, besides ending up as target practice when the first Bullseye comes back. This character would need a real good hook, because at this point she seems lack any original ideas.
You know maybe Bru could come up with a good twist for this concept, but that doesn't change the fact I don't like the concept itself and I think it takes panel time away from more interesting concepts.
Again, I agree introducing new villains is tough nowadays. But there are tons of existing villains who don't get enough panel time. Typhoid Mary could really use an arc by herself. |
You make some very good points, and I agree about using and revamping existing villains (when are we going to see the triumphant return of Stilt-man? ). I'm not a big fan of Typhoid, however. Just out of curiosity, I'd be interested to hear what kind of story you think she would be good in, and do you think she could be used in a way that is not just another personal attack on Matt? She of all people would have a good reason to hold a grudge, considering he had her committed and everything... |
See Mary, being mentally ill, is actually a sympathetic villain and thus makes a good contrast to all the evil psychos Matt normally faces. After all there is a good personality within, that is disgusted at all the evil things her typhoid personality has done.
I think Mary could easily have her own agenda, she could try to get revenge on someone besides Matt. One idea that I mentioned before is a war between Mary and Purple Man, because I doubt Mary would like a rapist like Killgrave, it be easy for these two to get into a feud and have Matt in the middle. |

Wow. I didn't think anyone was gonna top The Queenpin (I'm still laughing) but I think Typhoid Mikey wins. _________________ JC

Just a suggestion: I think that the female version of Stilt Man should be High Stilettos Woman.
Wearing high-tech Blahniks and dressed to kill -in all senses-
(the skirt, though, wouldn't affect Ol' Hornhead: he can't look) _________________ Gloria

That's true, but that would only follow in a long tradition of villains that he is immune to for various reasons. Really, how many blinding rays and potions did we see in the pre-Miller era? Quite a few as I recall. Who knew that blinding devices were so popular among villains? And all of them going up against the one hero who couldn't be blinded (though the wonderfully illogical plotline of having a blinding potion knock out his other senses during the Mike Murdock era is, of course, fondly remembered).
Back in the days of Stan Lee, the introduction of Stilt-woman would have meant a great triumph for Daredevil, and would probably have been referenced with some caption reading: "Little do the shocked onlookers know that the sightless wonder can avoid being mesmerized by a woman's naked and exposed crotch better than any sighted man!" _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

I was just thinking of a hugue lady in a hugue three-piece suit smoking a big, big cigar...

Didn't Bru and Lark get in a joke about having Wilson in drag in prison during that podcast interview (can't remember which one) they did during their first arc? It was something along those lines anyway. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

I also find "Fancy Danielle" confusingly hilarious. _________________ JC

So according to a story on comicbookresources concerning what Bru and Matt Fraction have in story for their run on Uncanny X-Men:
Quote: | "The X-Men will meet the Sisterhood of Evil Mutants in upcoming issues" |
And just like that, the laughing stops. _________________ JC
