Regarding the link that Kuljit just posted in the news section...
Quick question: Has the guy who wrote this thing even read any of Bendis's and Brubaker's Daredevil? The backstory given has so many inaccuracies and strange tweaks in it that you really have to wonder. It also says something about a certain lack of respect for Daredevil. To those of you who are more Marvel savvy than I am, are the other character flashbacks as spotty as the one on DD? _________________ The Other Murdock Papers

I recall that I mentioned this regarding the marvel link on DD's women, not long ago.
I am under the strong impression that some people in charge of the articles are not regular comic-book readers, just some guys who got a job in a big corporation right after their School of Economics college, or just students of journalism on practice: I don't necessarily mean that one has to be a geek to write about comics, but it wouldn't hurt if people documented themselves -if only a wee little bit!!- before writing the article... it's a mere matter of being a good professional: just doing one's work proper. _________________ Gloria

no comment.

What! The above error is so common that is almost forgivable to non DD readers, but this? Matt was imprisoned after Kingpin set up a trap for him to be caught by the FBI!
The tabloid revelation happened way before that, and Matt simply sue the editor's ass and won.

He escaped incarceration? Didn't you just said he was imprisoned! So he didn't escape incarceration? And what do you mean by "he created doubt"?
Oh, man, someone raise some money and buy this guy a copy of "The Devil Inside and Out, part 1".

Okay, with that I officially hate this guy. "He emerged triumphant". I must re read that TPB because I really didn't notice.

I will also, for all our sanity, refuse to comment.

And since when was his outing due to an overzealous newspaper journalist? That may have been true back when Chichester outed him (though I guess she was mostly a snoopy intern, right?), but this time around it didn't quite happen that way...

Not to mention that he wasn't the one who created the doubt in the first place.

Yeah, triumphant seems like something of a stretch. *Ahem*

Oh, you should laugh. This is potentially the funniest list of favorite books I've ever seen:
Quote: | Q: Favorite books?
That’s easy: Macbeth by William Shakespeare, The Art of War by Sun Tzu, Fight Club by Chuck Paluhnick & The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand & Obasan by Joy Kogawa. If you’re talking COMIC BOOKS, then GTO, published by Tokyopop, is my definite favorite. |
Macbeth (by William Shakespeare in case you didn't know)...Art of War...Fight Club...it's all so genius.
Edit: Oh crap. After checking out more of his site (you all should. it's awesome. he started the site after he "adopted the name 'Big Sexy'") it appears he's from Canada. BUT he's now officially American. And the Canadian-American brain drain continues. _________________ JC
