The Message Board is currently in read-only mode, as the software is now out of date. Several features and pages have been removed. If/When I get time I intend to re-launch the board with updated software.

I'm waiting for the 4 part story that pits Black Widow against Elektra in a race to the death. It's a story of international espionage and intrigue. Black Widow, working for SHIELD, and Elektra, comissionished by some shady, nefarious character drunk for power, are on a collision course to locate the invincible, ominpowerful Cosmic Cube, once the source of the Red Skull's great interest.
While each woman knows she's in competition agains someone else to locate this source of great power, it is only part way through the story that each finds out of the other's role.
Then, through sources inside SHIELD, Matt is informed of this unique race to the death between two former lovers. The question becomes: What does Matt do?
Questions to the other Board members:
What do you think Matt does? Does DD take a side?
And who wins: Black Widow or Elektra?

Well, because of the "boundary conditions" you gave, with Elektra working for a nefarious, shady, ambitious character, and the Widow working for SHIELD (bastards as much as you want, but still the good guys at the end of the day), DD would side with the Widow.
Who wins between the Black Widow and Elektra?
Elektra. Easy. |

I have to agree with Francesco that DD would side with Natasha. Besides being a "good" guy and generally not siding with assassins, he has more of a solid connection with Natasha.
I do disagree that Elektra would win this little throw down. She may be the better fighter, but Natasha always has something up her sleeve. |

Natasha is likely to have something up her sleeve, of course, so in the end she could, in this imaginary story, get away with the cosmic cube with some stratagem. After all, she's the super-spy, cunning, manipulative person.
In any direct fight between she and Elektra, anyway, she would get her firm Russian derriere handed to to her. Being aware of that, she'd probably avoid direct confrontation and try to stay one step ahead (it wouldn't be easy for her, however, because Elektra is also a very cunning character). |

Hey, hey, hey!!
You all forget something!
Whenever DD is around, the Fogster is not too far.
So, while, on a single fight, Elektra may be a though nut to crack, La Nati has powerful allies... And, for those of you who have read the "Foggy Nelson, agent of Shield", saga, might remember how our man Nelson gallantly jumped to defend Natasha, more than once, and truly against the odds.
I suppose that, while Foggy still considers Natasha as a "girl of Matt's", he is not insensible to Natasha's Russian derriere (nor her Russian vanguard, I bet), and doesn't like the idea of her favourite superspy being in danger.
And, as those who have read the Miller era know, if Franklin came up to defend La Nati, Elektra couldn't bring herself to harm the Fogster (as her memoirs of old college days overcome than the best of ninja trainings) _________________ Gloria

I would like to see more intricate stories involving DD and obscure and rarely used Marvel characters. I also want to see Matt venture out of Hells Kitchen for a change, maybe even into other States and other parts of the world. _________________ http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php |

Speaking of travel, I'd love to see Daredevil return to San Francisco for a story arc. Maybe there's some unfinished business from his days when he was stationed there with Natasha. The recent Mr. Fear storyline had a direct connection to Daredevil's San Francisco period. Maybe Danny French didn't die after all?
There's a Ghost Rider storyline I was pining to see after Karen Page's death. Before Miller got his creepy hands on her, Karen Page was a legitimate, mainstream actress, making a very successful living in Hollywood. For a while after she left the Daredevil look, she co-starred in Ghost Rider's book. Ghost Rider was a stuntman on a television show that featured Karen Page. The two struck up a bit of a romantic attraction to each other. After Karen's death, I would have liked to have seen Ghost Rider get word of it, come to New York, seek out Daredevil and then team up with him to avenge her death.

How about this for a mini . . .
Matt Murdock is KIDNAPPED!!!
He is unable to put up much of a battle because the group that snatch him . . . are not human!
When Matt awakens his hypersenses quickly tell him that . . . he is no longer on Earth!!!!
His alien captors soon come to him and they escort him to another location on this alien world. What? Why? Where? His questions are ignored. He is told only one thing. "You are Matthew Murdock, human of the planet Earth. You possess certain skills that are required for our purpose."
"And, what purpose might that be?"
No answer.
Matt's senses soon sense something familiar as he enters a new room. His radar reflects back to him a long corridor. The sounds and echoes are alien voices but they have the same rhythm he knows all too well. Even the smell is almost the same. Matt is in a prison, like the one he once was in. The throng of soldiers escorting Matt suddenly stop.
"You asked about our purpose, Mr. Murdock. Both our people, despite the obvious physical differences, are alike in other ways. You have been brought here for one purpose only."
The alien reaches for a control panel on the wall. Matt's radar does not reflect back bars in this section (in fact, only wall is reflected back), but the hum in his ears tell Matt it must be some sort of energy shield doorway. If Matt could see he would have already seen though this transparent shield and seen why he was brought here.
Once the shield is opened Matt slowly begins to understand. The beaten, chained creature on the floor seems to be looking up at him. His energy has been dampened. In fact, to someone without Matt's senses they might think the creature's powers have been neutralized. But, no, his power is still there. It still manges to radiate, even in it's weakend and barren state. And, it still makes Matt's skin feel like it's frozen and on fire all at once.
"Matthew Murdock. The alien before you has been charged with murder of our sister planet. He has been charged with the genocide of half our people. As is the right to all prisoners in our justice system, your presence has been requested as legal council for this prisoner. Matthew Murdock it will be your duty to defend this creature known as the Silver Surfer from the charges levied by the planet . . ." I don't know, lets call it Hoth (just making this up).
"But, just who requested my presence?" But, as Matt finishes his quesiton, his hypersenses sense another who seems familiar.
"Moondragon?"
"Matt. The Surfer needs your help."
Okay, that's the story. Look, I don't really know the particulars of DD and Moondragons relationship. I don't even know what Moondragon is doing these days (but, heck, if Bendis can give us Dan "I know how to bypass Matt's senses" The Bomb, I can do this). I don't even know if the SS has already had some sort of trail. And, I'm sure james castle will come and knit-pick the whole legal angle (ie. Matt's hasn't taken the Hoth Bar exam, or what have you), but that's it. I want to read this story soon! _________________ rgj |

Wow, rgj, that's some really great stuff. Moondragon? Wow. Just wow. I wonder if Bendis or Bru still check the board. On one hand it would suck if they stole your idea. On the other hand it'd be awesome just to have it in print.
As for me, there's one story I've always wanted to see. It doesn't have to be just like this but here's the basic outline:
Matt Murdock's mother Maggie is slowly dying from a punch sustained during the events of Guardian Devil. Matt Murdock is forced to ask Ben Urich for financial assistance. That doesn’t work because Ben doesn’t really have that much money. In fact, Matt clearly has way more money than Ben. Matt then sets out to help Maggie any way he can.
Matt seeks council with Stone. Stone informs Matt that he can do nothing to grant Maggie her life back. However, he helps Matt seek the aid of several others including Doctor Doom, the High Evolutionary, Reed Richards, and Doctor Octopus. Matt realizes that he doesn’t really know any of those guys except for Doctor Doom who he met ages ago. He also knows Richards, but really not that well. Matt attempts to go back in time using a ninja spell without Stone's approval, harming himself in the process. Stone heals his wounds and sends him on his way, encouraging him to be by his mother's side at her death. On his way to the hospital, Matt is confronted by one of the Fat Boys, who says he holds the answer to his problem.
Matt talks to the Fat Boy, who skate boards off. While pursuing him, Matt encounters men whom a woman in red informs Matt are alternate versions of himself, from alternate timelines where Matt never became a lawyer. The woman transforms into the demon Mephisto, who tells Matt he can save Maggie. As payment, Mephisto wants not Matt's soul, but his partnership to Foggy. Matt and Foggy are given until midnight the following night to decide their answer.
Matt and Foggy agree to the deal after several hours agonizing over the choice. Foggy whispers an offer to Mephisto in return for removing the knowledge of Matt's identity from the world. Mephisto then changes history so that Matt and Foggy never met in law school, and no one remembers whose face is underneath Daredevil’s mask. Mephisto remarks that this task is “a whole lot easier than that other time” because “at least Matt had the good sense to unmask in a bar and not on g*d d*amend national television”. Matt wakes up alone in bed. He attends a party being held for one of his friends, a resurrected Glorianna O’Breen; Matt glimpses Foggy sadly leaving the party. The guests all toast a "Brand New Day".
Just as the party begins to wind down Moondragon and his newly assembled Dragon Force break through the door.
Matt calmly looks in their direction and says “you could have knocked”.
Moondragon says “never do, son. never do”. _________________ JC

Shhhhh. It's actually Foggy in disguise. Or is it? It is. Or is it? Yes, it is! But maybe it isn't. No, it is. Or is it?
It is. _________________ JC
