There are so many artist out there that I love it's hard to name just one. But if I HAD to select my all time favorite artist it would be Curt Swan, the is simply amazing. Never has anyone ever drawn a better Superman. I would to see his take on DD for sure. Other favorites of mine include Alex Ross, Steve Epting, Michael Lark, Mike Deodato JR, Steve McNiven, Jim Lee, Dan Jurgens, Jerry Ordway, Mike Grell, Mark Morretti, David Mazzucchelli, and tons more. Sorry for listing so many.
So who's art do all of you enjoy the most and who would you like to see give there take on DD?
Some examples of the awesomeness that is Curt Swan..

my list probably changes weekly, but right now off the top of my head....

I agree with Deodato. I've seen some DD comissions and they are pretty nice. Another that I'd like to see would be Frank Cho.

I'd like to see Stefano Caselli draw DD (Avengers Initiative, Mighty Avengers #18 ). If not an entire issue, at least some pages in the 500th issue.

Favourite DD artist of all time, I'd say Mazzucchelli.

Just curious...how many issues of Superman did Curt Swan draw? Did he ever do anything at DC that was not Superman-related? Thanks.

Is he still active?

Forget active, he's not even ALIVE. Curt Swan died back in 1996.

As far as artists I'd like to see doing DD, here are a few:

Jae Lee: Like Deodato, he's got the dark and moody stuff down and has improved by leaps and bounds since his early days. I'm not a big fan of his action scenes, but I still think he's better than Maleev was in that regard.

Riccardo Burchielli: He's done most of the art on the Vertigo series "DMZ" and can draw New York in his SLEEP. As far as I know, this is the only series he's done, but it'd be nice to see him tackle some superhero stuff.

Steve Epting: I didn't like his early stuff, but he's another guy who's changed his style dramatically. Just look at his work on Cap!

Mike Zeck: I'm sure he's done some DD appearances at some point or another, as he's been around for approximately FOREVER, but I don't think he's ever drawn the actual DD title, has he?

Ron Garney: I've always liked his stuff, and I particularly admire his newer Kubert-esque style, but DD may be about the ONLY Marvel book that he hasn't had a run on.

John Cassaday: I don't think anyone's mentioned him yet, have they?

Maybe the first artist I'd like to see is... Jaime Hernandez!! Honest, what I'd give for a one shot in which he could give his own personal vision of DD... Hey, just imagine Daredevil teaming with Atoma (in civil life, Penny Century, married to horn-headed H.R. Costigan)... or a blind-date-of-doom featuring Foggy Nelson and Maggie Chascarrillo ... or Izzy Reubens getting on famously with Sister Maggie...

...Just imagine!

As for other artists, I wouldn't mind the Romitas or Barry Windsor Smith doing yet another DD story. I'd also like to see Craig P. Rusell, or Paul Chadwick (I bet Chadwick could make one cool story dealing with DD's senses!)

Of those mentioned already, I second the proposals of Mazzuchelli (The Maestro) and Ron Garney.

Eduardo Risso : the artist of 100 Bullets, the king of "clean noir". He did some DD commissions and they looked great!

Leandro Fernandez : his Punisher MAX issues were the best from the series but his DD annual was just average work, he deserves another shot!

John Cassaday : I liked nearly everything he did but maybe DD scenes would lack the "whoa/blockbuster scene" factor he likes to draw...

Frank Quitely : he only did a pinup splash for v2 #65. I don't think he could be the regular artist but I'd love to see a DD mini or a special or annual drawn by him.

I'd give almost anything just to see Curt swan draw Superman.

Here is a small list of some of Curts works...

DD has had some amazing art throughout the years. If Michael Lark stepped down who would you like to see take his place? Steve Epting? The original Romita? David Aja?

Well, you had said that you'd give almost anything to see Curt draw Superman, like it hadn't happened yet or something, but it did, many times. It's just not going to happen again, obviously.

I think that Curt Swan is doing a fill-in arc to give Michael Lark a chance to catch up....
