Here's another approach to a Black Widow v Elektra storyline:
In Uncanny X-Men #268, set during WWII in Madripoor, Wolverine and Captain America are shown rescuing a pre-teenaged Natasha Romanoff from the combined clutches of The Hand, Hydra and Baron Strucker who believe the young girl can be trained to become their Master Assasin. (It's clear that before it set it's sites on Elektra, The Hand believed that Natasha could do its evil bidding.) THe story then jump cuts ahead forty-nine years and once again we see Wolverine and Natasha battling together to defeat The Hand. Along the way, the story suggests that Natasha and Wolverine have stayed close friends (if not more) with each other over the years.
In Wolverine's own comic, Elektra and Logan are shown getting quite intimate with each other. Logan's struggle to maintain some semblance of his "humanism" struck a cord with Elektra who similarily battles against her raw, animalistic impulses. Together, they generate a special, gentle bond. She even takes Logan to her family home in Greece and he is introduced as her new companion/boyfriend.
What happens if the Hand, under (pre-Skrull)Elektra's leadership, decides it wants to once again attempt to recruit Natasha as a Master Assassin? You end up directly pitting Elektra against Black Widow. In this scenario you not only bring Daredevil into play, but perhaps Wolverine as well. Plus, SHIELD would get involved in order to keep Hydra neutralized while Nick Fury, who has utilized both women as agents at one time or another, perhaps together with DD and Wolvie, would try to find a way to ensure that both women come out of this episode with their lives.
