There are a few unlettered pages of DD #114 in Marvel's latest Ninja tidbits and...

... Gosh oh, gee oh... The Fogster's back!

Thanks, Mr. Brubaker, life makes sense again.

You know, I was thinking of you when I saw Foggy back. Wink And I have to admit that it's good seeing him again. It should be interesting to see what he has to say about all of this from his more level-headed perspective.

I'm looking forward to Christmas Eve for all the right reasons!

Is christmas eve the release date for 114?

God, I won't get that till after new years probably. (f***ing marvel subscriptions)

But if by the grace of god I get it before...I'll quit complaining about Marvel subscriptions. But the odds of that happening are pretty slim. But it'd make me a believer!

My prediction about the reason why Matt is frustrated: he found out it was actually Milla's parents who brought her away from the clinic. They did so to keep Milla even further away from Matt, after they saw the news of Daredevil having become increasingly violent, culminating with his alleged killing of two individuals (and, later, of the surviving witness).
So, Matt is pissed not only because being DD is biting him again in the ass, but also because his anxiety has again sent him on a wild goose chase (like Izo suspected).

Gloria - don't get too excited just yet...

All we've seen so far is the art. We have no idea what they're saying to each other.

Maybe Matt stormed out of the office becasue Foggy told him that he's tired of having to always pick up the shattered pieces of Matt's cruddy life and the Fogster finally wants OUT!

I'm not saying you're right or anything (I kind of hope you are, actually), but I was just thinking of the odd first meeting between a girl's parents and the superhero husband:

"Really, he's a great guy, he's just got this thing for tights and beating people up. But he's really sweet, and I'd bet he'll make a terrific dad. Come on, at least he doesn't have any tattoos, and he only served time once!"

I know, I know... But he's been absent in the last issues, so I'm happy to see him in a few pannels.

You're right about being too early to deduce things due to the lack of words, though I'd say that he doesn't look like ranting (like, say, when he gave his memorable "circle of rage and misery" speech back in the Bendis run).

So I'm already speculating about what Foggy says...

- Option A: "Yeah, yeah... Those bloody phone bills drive me crazy, too: we should talk with Becky about not phoning her folks at Cucamonga every day for hours on end"

- Option B: "With Dakota, really? Why, you are indeed a lucky bastard! What on earth do you give them?"

Thanks, Dave! And may I just say that I'm relieved about the development (regarding Milla's "disappearance").

Mmmh... the Donovan's lawyer looks... Eastern.

Wonder how would she look with a bit of make up and a mask

(pardon me, just a wild speculation)

@Gloria: Yeah, I noticed that too, and the thought crossed my mind. On the other hand...

1) She doesn't look that close to earlier panels of Lady Bullseye sans costume.

2) Unless her abilities are downright "Typhoid," Matt would know it was her, and I don't think Bru would make a goof that size.

3) I love the fact that it appears that the Hand doesn't have anything to do with this (thought they probably know about it). In fact, what we saw here reminds me of why I like this book so much. There is such a great mix of phantastical elements (heck it's a superhero book with ninjas in it, after all) and things that would realistically happen in real life. It would make total sense for Milla's parents to pull a stunt like that, given the circumstances, and I think it's an interesting twist to see Matt dealing with the in-laws.

4) I think Lady Bullseye is probably busy elsewhere. Of course, it's not unthinkable that someone else with ties to the Hand is connected to this somehow, but the original petition must have been initiated by the Donovans anyway, and it's clear that she is not, at least, being held prisoner anywhere. Well, except in some kind of asylum. Poor Milla...

Lark surely knows how to give texture to the narration by giving particular looks even to secondary characters.

Yeah, no two characters ever look the same. You certainly can't say that about all artists out there. I can understand the people who aren't loving Lark's art (though I am), but it's rarely confusing.

Yeah. Imagine if Leinil Yu drew that scene. You couldn't have told if that was the Donovans' lawyer speaking, or if it was Echo, or the Night Nurse, or Jessica Jones.
