"Whiniest superhero I ever met"
This is preposterous.
Everyone whines at him (I expect to see Turk whining at him next issue) and he's the whiner? |

The laughing face, of course, means you're not serious, but seriously folks... Matt's been whining a hell of a lot ever since his identity got outed in the press. I think Izo's just calling him on it (even if it is behind his back, but we all know Matt heard him.)
Solid issue though, and the best Matt-centric issue in a while. As for Foggy's actions, I really think Matt is getting what's coming to him... for now. It's something for Diggle to develop. |

No no. I'm serious! By now DD has probably the whiniest supporting cast of superhero comic books. |

I agree 100%. I would really like to see Matt get his head out of his butt. I am glad that Foggy finally said enough to all of this crap. Personally, I think it was a bit over due really. I am really interested to see what |

Get is head out of his butt? I'm sorry Kirika, but he could barely do otherwise in his situation, with all the crap that is happening to him! |

I don't think any of us could claim to act/feel any different if these same events occured to one of us, I think the point is that if Matt doesn't 'get his head out of his butt' he'll never get over the situation and grow as a person/character. It's one thing to fall into a depressed state over crappy events in one's life, and it's another to allow oneself to stay stuck in that funk. _________________ https://twitter.com/tburnham7

Very true. I'd say that now we know why Foggy looks so angry on the cover to #500. He's reached the height of his pisstivity with Matt, and rightfully so. Time for some tough love, and you're on the receiving end, Matt. You seem to forget just how far you have pushed your friends. Wake up and smell the coffee, dude.
I really like Izo. Takes no crap from anyone, and tells it like he sees it. Well, sort of. You know what I mean. _________________ Alice

I don't know which are Brubaker's plans for master Izo, but I'd like the old man to remain in the series after #500. I think he's a fine character to have around, plus provides a further link with Iron Fist.
Another character I'd like to see remaining in the supporting cast is Dakota, but I wonder if the talk about a (long-time announced) mini on her (By C.B. Cebulsky) means that she'll keep a certain distance with Hell's Kitchen for a while _________________ Gloria

This has been discussed before, but Matt is not only seeming whiny, but just all around not a good person.
Quite frankly, he's an ass hole.
For a super hero, he's very selfish and self absorbed. But then again, this is how they write him. Which I'm starting to not agree with how much they're piling up on Matt. I mean yeah, lifes hard and all, but why not bring his dad back to life and then hang him over a pit of alligators with Bullseye clones riding them while the kingpin blows up his house if he doesn't do something he doesn't want him to do while Elektra sits in a machine that stabs her every 10 seconds.

I know what you mean. I love seeing writers pile the pressure on Matt, but it might be nice for him to get a chance to breathe every now and again. It feels like things haven't really let up since the start of the Bendis era. |
