I went to Megacon this weekend and was able to chat with Mark Waid and Paolo Rivera as they were both in attendance. I wished them well on Daredevil #1.
Paolo said he is drawing the first issue but has not begun work on it - but will be done in plenty of time for July release.
Mark said he is looking forward to this new assignment.
I had a "Big Shots" promotional poster that they were giving out at my comics shop that they both were nice enough to sign (along with some of their other works).
The highlight was the panel discussion with Stan Lee. It was mainly a Q&A and he clearly admitted he had trouble hearing the questions from the audince so he had Jimmy Palmiotti up there with him as his "interpreter". But once he heard the question he was witty and knowledgeable as always.
