A fun retelling on a 60's classic origin since MWF and Yellow, Season One is a great read for fans new and old who want to experience a modern look at Ol' Hornheads first adventures. Surprised to say that it's an original story that incorporates past stories of his first few issues in a well written pace. My only real critque is the misuse of Karen Page and her "lacking" relationship with Matt Murdock as they have little to no dialogue. The art although detailed is not my favourite aspect but credit where credit is due characters are drawn quite well and some action panels are bold and striking. All in all a great hardcover read and a fantastic addition to any Daredevil collection. 4 out of 5 stars.

I thought it was average. There has been one too many retellings of the origin for my taste, so I was surprised to learn of the existence of this release. The main arc with the priest and Doyle didn't interest me too much.

I'm looking forward to End of Days, although I'm not sure how I feel about the story being canon. I wonder if the future will yield multiple retellings of the death of Daredevil.

I didn't buy this because of the cover price- $25 for about 3 issues of new material is a bit steep. Did you who read it find it worth the cover price?

okay the price in all honesty is alittle steep and i would've preferred a soft cover. if you can wait for a convention price drop then do that because it is good read but rereading it offers me not as much depth as i wanted. Sure we get inside Murdock head alittle more but honestly i could have wrote this, this feels like fan fiction paraphrasing Stans work without giving it that innovated Marvel feel. it really just took the old stories, gave them a modern look, created a new legal storyline to link them (one that wasn't really that good). Foggy and Karen are still two dimensional (Karens writing bothers me more because with her being dead she should have had more character focus and this comes off as less than DD Yellow), no underlying darkness inspired by the frank millers writing (before Elektras death) and Matt lacks that underlying anger and frustration [*see MWF and Yellow] but i sappose it's because of the new Mark Waid direction. The art has it's moments but it's no Rivera when i comes to integrating radar sense data. Realizing now, I came across as too excited after i read it. Having reread it, it is a good inclusion to one's library but it's not that good to buy for full price; my advice: just wait for a price drop. That being said if they were to look at doing more stories on his past (hopefully original ones this time) due to his recent popularity i would be more than happy to look into them.
