I attended HeroesCon 2012 in Charlotte this past weekend - it was the 30th anniversary of the con and I had heard it was a good one as it was entirely focused on comics and did not feature any celebrity guests (it was odd to not see Lou Ferrigno or Kevin Sorbo at a con for a change).
It was a very well run convention and the guest list was amazing. Hundreds of past and present comics creators all in a manageable size convention center.
One of my favorite 70's era writers, Marv Wolfman, was present and it is always fun to meet someone whose work you always enjoyed and who created some fun comics memories.
It was also nice to meet and get a sketch from Mark Bagley, one of my favorite Spider-man artists.
I also continued my "project" of getting as many Daredevil and Amazing Spider-man Writers and Artists to sign/sketch on the blank variant covers that were released for both of those series (Daredevil #1 and AS #648).
