Thats such a shame. Carnahan would have brought a lot to DD
Fox, Alex Proyas or Stephen Norrington. |

Carnahan pitches a "Serpico-styled superhero" movie and Fox says no.? Seriously, if that isnt a totally original take on a comic book, then what is?
I give up, this whole time I've been defending Fox but now just let Marvel have him back. Either way, DD wont be getting a reboot. Fox clearly dont give a crap about making it and Marvel have shown no intrest in their street level heroes. Dont know why people are happy about it going back to Marvel, they probably wont even make it...ever.
Time for our favourite hero to join Punisher and Blade in the movie graveyard. |

Carnahan has now posted his "sizzle reel" for the project, which gives an indication of the kind of tone he'd be going for:

Personally, it doesn't look like a take on the character that I could get really excited about, and this short clip doesn't tell us much about how the characters and plot would be treated. But it's an interesting indicator of the general direction the project might have taken. |

DD is a lot more accessible than Punisher or Blade; I doubt Marvel will kick him to the curb. They may have preferred getting F4 involved in the Avengers cinematic universe, but I don't think they'll let the rights they DO have go to waste. _________________ "A dream is an answer to a question we haven't yet learned how to ask." - Fox Mulder |
