When I began reading comics in the '70s, I was introduced to Daredevil as a way of encouragement. I am visually-impaired and, at that time, struggled to keep pace with my fellow students. My teacher recognized my hardship and arranged for her cousin to come speak to our class. Now, back in the day, the only exposure we had to the comic book world were the revolving circular racks in the grocery stores, so when my teacher's cousin showed up, we were not too excited. Afterall, who was Stan Lee to us? Well, Mr. Lee spoke with us about the comics and as he was leaving, he handed me an issue of Daredevil. He told me to never let my disability take over my life. It took me years to realize what he meant.
Enough of my origin. During the '70s, '80s, and '90s, I collected the Avengers. It was like a death in the family when the original series was cancelled in 1996. I continued collecting through the Heroes Reborn series and the series after that. Then came Avengers Disassembled! No longer was there one Avengers series. We now had Mighty, New, Secret, and Initiative. Avengers was now being spread too thin. I understand the reasons behind the flooding of Avengers' comics into the market because of the Avengers movie franchise but what happened to focusing on a single title and making it the best it can be?
This longing for a single title brought me back to Daredevil. I started reading Daredevil when Kevin Smith took over the book but removed it from my reading list when the proliferation of Avengers' titles forced financial choices to be made. I continued picking up the trade paperbacks so I am up to date with series 2 and 3. I am also picking up the individual issues, as well.
I have recently purchased Daredevil #138 and discovered it is a continuing story from Ghost Rider #19 that concludes in Ghost Rider #20. Further research shows me that that particular storyline begins in Ghost Rider #17.
Finally, my question is this. As I am picking up back-issues from the first series, I have noticed, in my research, that Daredevil has crossed over into several titles. Does anyone have a list of comics that Daredevil appears in in which the storyline continues into or out of the Daredevil comic itself? |

Under the Comics heading of this web site there is an appearances tab. It may have the info you are looking for. |

I have found that section very informative. I am in the process of researching these issues to see if they are crossover storylines or just appearances by Daredevil. Thank you for responding. |

This is information that I'm always interested in as well, and since I have a lot of the DD issues and appearances, I'll check my database and see if I can pull some of these cross-overs out.
Two definitely stick out in my mind;
Daredevil (Vol.1) #178 and Power Man and Iron Fist #77 (both from Jan 1982); which was interesting because it was right in the middle of the Frank Miller run with Elektra.
The second was the "Dead Man's Hand" 9 issue storyline that spanned the Daredevil, Punisher War Journal, and Nomad titles in 1992.
I believe they are:
Part 1 - Daredevil #307
Part 2 - Nomad #4
Part 3 - Punisher War Journal #45
Part 4 - Nomad #5
Part 5 - Daredevil #308
Part 6 - Punisher War Journal #46
Part 7 - Daredevil #309
Part 8 - Nomad #6
Part 9 - Punisher War Journal #47
but there are definitely other crossover events that crossed over multiple titles (including Daredevil), such as "Secret Wars II" and "Inferno" in 1989, but that is more about the event than DD co-plot that is just between DD and a couple other titles.
I do think there are also story crossovers in early Fantastic Four, Avengers, and Iron Man, but I'm not sure which have story crossovers versus appearances versus references when the characters crossed into each other's titles.
Great topic though... I'd love to get these all documented... as there are quite a few more including those in Vol. 3 series of Daredevil.
If I remember any more, I'll post in this thread.

Found another one:
Daredevil (Vol.1) #257 & Punisher (2nd Series) #10; If I remember correctly it is the same storyline, but one written from Daredevil's perspective, and another from Punisher's perspective. I think it was a really neat idea, and a cool read. |

Thank you. I have acquired these crossover storylines as well as Avengers (Series 1) #110 - 111 which crosses with Daredevil #99. The recent crossover storylines from the 2nd and 3rd series are pretty much documented in trade paperback form. Research shows that DD had crossover storylines, in the early issues, with the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Iron Man, and the Sub-Mariner. I have yet to determine whether the story flows through both titles. |
