Wolverine (Just started reading from the beginning)
|
From the beginning of this volume, as in the issues written by Greg Rucka? If so, you are reading my favorite Wolverine stories hands down! (The Claremont/Miller mini is a very close second.) I love Rucka's Wolverine so much that when he left the book, I just couldn't handle anyone else's take on the character. |
Starting from the original mini to the 1988 Claremont/Buscema work including Marvel Comics Presents through the Weapon X issues in MCP (I think by Barry Windsor-Smith) to the end of the original series. I am missing 3 issues, though (#146-148). Then going into the latest series starting with the Rucka issues. It'll probably take me a few weeks to get to those, but the rest of the family will be away this weekend, so I should be getting a pretty good start. |
Geez, you're not messing around!
Since you're a hardcore Wolvie reader, what do you think of the Wolverine/Jubilee dynamic? Personally they have always been one of my favorite team-ups in comics. The characters are so different, yet they share so much in common. With the right writer on board, I love nothing more than a good Wolvie/Jubilee story. _________________ "Flash is back. I'm not hardcore yet, but I will be in a few weeks, when I get through the full solo saga.
As far as Jubilee goes, I don't know anything about her yet, except that I'm guessing she's a girl. But if their team-ups are in Wolvie's mag, I'll report back to you with my take. _________________ It's never too late to have a happy childhood! |

I'm in a bit of a transiton phase, I guess
Daredevil
X-Factor
Uncanny X-Men
Moon Knight
Anything Silver Surfer when available
*I DROPPED all Spidey titles cause of Civil Crap
This year I added:
Batman
Detective Comics
Stephen King's the Gunslinger mini
I just bought Fables #59 and #60 a couple of hours ago (haven't read them yet), because of jc's endorsement. I'll give it a shot. If I like it I'll try some other Vertigo stuff.

Okay, here is my list.
Monthly (semi, weekly, limited or whenever) Format:
DD!
Iron Fist
Punisher: War Journal
Captain America (only from Civil War onwards, may drop soon)
Amazing Spider-Man (only from Civil War onwards, may drop soon)
Criminal
DD: Jack Murdock
New Avengers: Illuminati
Dark Tower
Detective Comics
Batman
Batman: Confidential (from the next storyline onwards)
All Star Batman & Robin
Superman: Confidential (Sale/Cooke run only)
All Star Superman
Checkmate
Manhunter
JLA (until #12 or so)
JSA
The Spirit
Ex Machina
Countdown
Shazam And the Monster Society of Evil
Justice
The Secret History (ASP)
The Killer (ASP)
Mouse Guard (ASP) - another series this summer!!!
Shaolin Cowboy (Burlyman)
Hellboy: Darkness Calls (Dark Horse) (I tend to wait till the tpb, but I need my HB fix sooner and I was curious with Duncan being the new artist here)
The Boys (Dynamite)
Queen & Country (Oni)
Super F*ckers (Top Shelf)
TPBs and HCs Format (stuff I collect and only read in this format.)
100 Bullets tpb
Fables tpb
Y: Last Man tpb
BPRD tpb
Hellboy tpb
Conan hc
Fell tpb
Walking Dead Omnibus (yes, I'm a nut waiting for issues 25-50 to be collected in this manner like the first omnibus. Willpower!!!)
Absolute Sandman volumes (4 books, the 2nd comes this winter)
My ideal situation would be to read way more stories in the tpb/hc format instead of buying the singles and then getting the collections. DD will always be a monthly read and, of course, I'll buy the hc treatments. I act this way for Batman books too. I enjoy Vertigo and Dark Horse titles in the tpb format only and have pretty much established this buying pattern for these two publishers. I managed to get off the Conan monthly a few months ago simply because I end up buying the hcs anyways. I am a big sucker for DC's Absolute Editions. I have only avoided purchasing the Absolute Crisis On Infinite Earths for books offered in this manner in the past 3-4 years. I am close to dropping Captain America and Ex Machina to switch them to tpbs. I am close to dropping Amazing Spider-Man, Punisher: WJ and JLA all together.
*edit*
I am looking forward to the Black Adam mini, the Batman/Lobo, I held off from the Surfer mini. It'll be a great hc purchase. Captain America gets the omnibus treatment for 1-25 and I have been on from #22. I will sell my issues very shortly and stick to collections of Cap.

Did this thread die? I was very entertained last year by the 'awards' aspect of this thread after everyone shared their pull lists. Hasn't been any activity for a couple of weeks...
Just curious!? _________________ https://twitter.com/tburnham7

Since I originally posted, I have added IDW's Transformers: Megatron Origin to my pull list. It's another mini-series...you'd think one of these days I might grow up enough to finally stop being a sucker for TF books... _________________ https://twitter.com/tburnham7
