No... I was thinking of his defence of Peter "Pig" Grunter: Matt quite dislikes him, but he takes his defence when he hears his regular heartbeat ("Oh, so he's telling the truth"). Punisher has other ideas, of course.
However, you're right! I recall the story about Stymie the Bully, too: That was another good example of Matt defending someone he dislikes.
In the case of his former bully, he carries the defence in such an intransigent way, that raises Foggy's suspicions and prompts him to investigate what really lies behind Matt's motives to take the defense. _________________ Gloria
