The Message Board is currently in read-only mode, as the software is now out of date. Several features and pages have been removed. If/When I get time I intend to re-launch the board with updated software.

What else should I be reading?

Though, honestly, I'm just preparing as much as possible today so I can finish everything tomorrow. I'm not cooking all day, but I'm baking traditional Swedish saffron rolls (very popular in December and for Christmas) which takes a while. Then there's peeling and cooking three kilos of potatos, two kilos of pasta (for potato and pasta salads), the three kilos of roast beef, two kilos of salmon (both of which are served cold, and can be prepared ahead of time), five Quiches Lorraine, and.... Well, you get the idea. Wink

I'll be right over! Happy birthday, albeit a little late on my part.

Happy Belated Birthday, Christine. Hope your party goes well. Have you read the Ultimates? With Jeph Loeb coming out with Ultimates 3 it might be a good time to jump on what I think is Mark Millar's best work.

Smile Yeah, here's how you get here:

1) Get on a plane to Stockholm
2) Get on the freeway (northbound) and stay on it for ten minutes
3) Exit at probably the biggest roundabout you've ever seen (they're not popular in the States, after all...)
4) Drive two miles straight ahead through two intersections

I'll be seeing you then! Wink

Thank you so much! No, haven't read it, but thanks for the tip! I do like Jeph Loeb, though, so it should be good. I think I'm just going to add "read more comics" to my list of New Year's resolutions. Smile

How come they were allowed to use Thor? I thought these characters were trademarked?

Unless, they're specifically imitating the Marvel character, Thor (the God) is definitely in the public domain.

I hope he appreciates your culinary efforts... I suspect the guy's a bit spoiled by Jarvis

Verily, the noble Jumonji knows well how to please the tastes of the god of thunder.
Gaze in awe as the Odinson takes his seat at thine banquet and begins swallowing yonder saffron rolls as only the Odinson can. Watch as, with as equal proficiency as when he striketh yon foes again and again with the enchanted uru hammer, he wieldeth the cutlery, forking now the pasta, now the roast beef, and now the salmon.
For the solace of the palate is Thor's birthright. Forget it naught!
