Daredevil Message Board The Board Without Fear!

The Message Board is currently in read-only mode, as the software is now out of date. Several features and pages have been removed. If/When I get time I intend to re-launch the board with updated software.

Hello all! I'm BlindRogue, new to this board. Alright i'll be honest I know nothing about Daredevil, the only thing I would know is everything from the movie. Let me tell you that Daredevil, is my favorite Marvel movie they made. So, I wanted to know, if I wanted to get into the Daredevil comic series, what would be a good issue to jump on [besides the eariler issues] that I could possibly catch up quickly on? Also are there any good TPBs? Any good issues that could explain him? I read all the online bios & such but it would still be nice to put that information to an actual comic book.
I figured I would join up on this board, because i'll be going to the comic book store tomorrow and figured now would be as good as time as any to ask you fans what could help me! |

You have a lot of awesome reading ahead of you.
I would have to suggest you start with some key trade paperbacks. I think most people here would agree that the most definitive work in Daredevil's history was written by Frank Miller, so I would say start with his Man Without Fear miniseries drawn by John Romita Jr. Then I would move to Frank Miller Visionaries Volume 2 (when he took over as both writer and artist of Daredevil). From there I would suggest reading Love's Labour's Lost, featuring some amazing work by writer Denny O'Neil and artist David Mazzuchelli, along with a one-shot from Miller, and then you're ready for the ultimate masterpiece, Born Again, by Miller and Mazzuchelli. After that, I think you'll be completely under Daredevil's spell.
By the way, check out our webmaster's recommended reading list here: http://www.manwithoutfear.com/ddRECOMMENDED.shtml |

It's as simple as jumping on RIGHT NOW. Track down the last five issues from where the new creative team came on and come along with the rest of us. There's no sense in participating in a comic book webboard and not reading the new issues. _________________ 2006 Pull List Awards
