Last weekend I saw Big Black live. That probably means nothing to most of you. But I'm sure there are some who are very envious. This weekend I'm going to a wedding.

What did you get this week? What did you think?

Ex Machina #23 - After a bit of a slump, this book is championship material again. I'm interested in the Mayor of New York stuff but the most interesting part is Hundred's ability to talk to machines.

Since BKV seems like he's going to detail it, I'm most interested in that part of this book. The "Black Kettle" belies a movement back in that direction.

Plus the ending is killer.

Civil War Files - I get these for each of the big events. It's good reading for the first time through as well as a good reference when I return to a series. This was exactly like the others.

Ended up buying Pride of Baghdad. Really good so far. Haven't finished it. Great art and really interesting story.

I picked up:

Ms. Marvel #7- Good Civil War tie-in. I enjoyed it but not as much as this months Cable and Deadpool issue.

Civil War Files- Always enjoy these things. Lot of cool information and forshadowing for what's coming up.

Wolverine Origins #6- First arc wasn't too hot. I still have hope though. It always happens when I drop a book something really good happens and this seems like one of those books. This one was good but slow. Hopefully next issue will be better.

Captain America #21- My favorite book of the week. I absoleutly love this series just like Daredevil. It's great and can't wait to see what happens with these characters. At the end of the issue Brubaker opens many oppurtunities to do a Daredevil crossover. Highly recommend.

...I know, a little late on this thread.

For any of you Infinite Crisis or 52 fans, I defintely suggest checking out the latest Green Lantern (issue #13)!

...I'll spoil the cryptic ending for you:

SPOILER:

The guardians of the universe, those little blue elves on the planet Oa have something up their sleave. We don't know exactly what yet, but at the edge of the universe, there is some "path" which they are keeping secret. Also, they are planning on questioning Superboy Prime, who is locked up on Oa.

The really creepy part is right before they set out to track down a villain who may have knowledge of this "path," they say "52" in unison... weird...

Wow! Good spoiler, that is really curious. 52 is my first meeting with most DC characters, except Bats, so this Green Lantern stuff is quite interesting.

Glad you liked it.

Since Green Lantern Rebirth, the current Green Lantern books by Geoff Johns have been amazing.

Interesting interview with Geoff Johns and coverage of that Green Lantern #13 craziness:
