To this day, JRSr. is one of my favorite DD artists. I can't wait to see this cover! (I hope the JRSr. cover isn't an expensive variant...) _________________ "Flash is back. Worlds will die again!" |

That's wicked. JRJr doing covers...for...wait....Sr? Bah.
(Yes, yes, I realize that liking Jr. more borders on the absurd but I like him more anyway). _________________ JC

For me, JRSr. is light years better than JRJr., but to each his own. _________________ "Flash is back. Worlds will die again!" |

I think most people would agree with you. But for me, JRJr will always be connected to Nocenti so it's no surprise that my love for her spills over onto him. _________________ JC

At the same time, JRJr.'s best work is by far DD. I genuinely like his DD work, but at the same time, I can't stand his work in Wolverine, Sentry, etc., and I think his Amazing Spider-Man work is just OK. In my mind, JRJr.'s time on DD was definitely his high point. _________________ "Flash is back. Worlds will die again!" |

I agree about JR JR's DD being solid, but I thought his high point was his two year run on Thor. He knocked that book out of the park. The series stayed in the Top 25 (or higher) during his tenure on the book. His Hulk was cool too.
Wolvy and Spidey don't quite seem to fit his style as much to me, but the DD stuff was good.
That aside, glad to hear his dad will be doing a DD cover.

I never saw his Thor or Hulk, but I would imagine they were good. JRJr. seems best at drawing such large, bulky characters, versus Spidey, Wolverine, Elektra, etc. ...Still, I would think his Sentry would be better... _________________ "Flash is back. Worlds will die again!" |

Yeah, I can see what you're saying. Sentry was a little flat contrasted with some of his other work. |

What?!? I think his work on Peter Parker: Spider-Man up to AMZ Spider-Man was great. Especially with JMS feeding JRJr. the right beats to work with. The artwork was very grand and cinematic, very big in action. Just see the fight between Morlun and Webhead it was amazing to see it in Ezikiel. You saw so much detail in the fight. I like Jr's work on DD but it got alot better with Thor and Spidey. |
