I don't usually initiate this thread but I haven't seen it in a couple of weeks. I am always interested to see what people pick up and what they think.

It is a pretty big week by my standards.

Of course DD # 100-Very excited about this one. I can't wait to see which cover the LCS picks to put in my pull box.

Ghost Rider # 15 - I really like the character but the flow of this series is really off. I'll give it a little longer.
As a side note I wanted some extra reading material the other week and bought the Punisher vs. Bullseye trade written by the same author, wow did I not care for it. The Punisher seemed like a total idiot.

Moon Knight # 12- I love Houston's novels but I have been having a hard time staying excited about this relaunch. Maybe due to it shipping late all the time or all the Civil War tie in stuff but I am never that excited when it comes out. I am going to cancel it today after this issue.

Thor # 3- A little slow but I am very interested to see where this is going. This issue has another smack down of Iron Man. I am getting a little bored with the Civil War fall out. Digging the art too.

Superman # 667-Finally back to the ongoing plot. As I have wrote before the interruptions to this comic, Action, Batman, Detective comics has been driving me crazy. I am trying to decide whether to cancel Detective until the direction changes. That will be the first time I have not received that title in years. I know everyone is gushing about these great self contained issues but I like an ongoing plot and cliffhangers (i.e., Mr. Brubaker's stuff).

Trials of Shazam! # 7- Not excited to see them getting rid of Billy Batson as the Captain but I am enjoying having some Captain Marvel fix. They are putting out a title called "Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam!" or something like that. It is a younger persons book so I don't know if I will get it. Then again, the Jeff Smith book was a more innocent version and I enjoyed that.

And of course,

Green Lantern # 23 - What can I say, I am loving this book and this ongoing Sinestro Wars. Excellent. I just saw an advertisement about a new set of four one shots called "Tales of the Sinestro Corps." I'll have to give it a try.

Remember the tragedy of this day.

Have a good day.

Eric

Daredevil #100 - I'm getting the wrap-around cover by Marko Djurdjevic. Smile

New Avengers #34 - The Hand are the featured villains, what's not to love? lol

Ultimate X-men #86 - I'm actually more into this title than I am with the various X-Men titles of the 616 universe (with the exception of Astonishing X-Men) even though I am not always crazy about Robert Kirkman's writing. Yanick Paquette's art is really strong though.

X-Factor #26 - What can I say? I love what Peter David has done with these characters.

I've got two weeks worth of stuff waiting on me as it was a terribly crazy week at work last week and I didn't get to my local shop. My list is still fairly short though:

DD #100 - Can't wait! 3x the DD is a winner no matter what...now 3x the Brubaker DD??? I don't even know what to call that!

DD-Battling Jack #4 - I've been avoiding any and all topics revolving around this as I will surely be the last frequenter of this board to actually get to read this.

Transformers Megatron Origin #3 - I keep telling myself I'm going to drop these IDW TF titles, yet I haven't actually done so yet.

Moon Knight #12 - Starting to loose interest as it's been getting delayed.

Looks like that's it...even less than I thought. Oh well, more time to enjoy the giant sized DD issue!

Light week for me.

All I'll mention is that I just couldn't convince myself to pick up that Turner cover. Love the other two. That'll do.

Left the Hellboy Vol.7 tpb on the shelf. Word is HC editions collecting 2 volumes at a time start come out Spring '08.

Suicide Squad #1 is my impulse buy for the day. Other than that, its Countdown, Batman: Confidential, Black Adam, and JSA (Kingdom Come Supes!).

This is a very fun and intense read so far (thru 2 issues). You see Black Adam go to insane lengths to try and bring back his lover Isis. I really enjoyed seeing some payoff early in this 8-parter. How he gets his power back and... what? What does this has to do with Ralph Dingby!? (No, I won't tell you Razz ) Seriously, if 52 was your thing, then you MUST check this out. 2 issues in and the pacing is fantastic.
