I sometimes can't believe it's been so long since 9/11. The thing that upset me most was that most of the kids in my classes didn't care about what had happened. This one guy in my class that said, "I don't care. I didn't know those people."

I think it's hard sometimes. We hear about so much death and destruction on the news, and it often happens so far away that we don't always feel connected to the victims. If anything, I think that's sad. We should feel it when something bad happens to others. The world might be a less bloody place if we were more empathetic.
