Just to lighten the mood a little, I posted a cute DD cartoon in the "Bru interview and #104 preview" thread. I'm sure many of you have seen these Year One cartoons around, but for those who haven't, here are most of the ones spoofing DD. There are more, and I also couldn't find most of the ones from the last few months of the strip.
For those of you who are unfamiliar Year One, here's some backgound information: Year One was a now-discontinued parody comic strip featuring Marvel characters as six-year-olds in first grade. In the beginning, most of the strips centered around Spidey, but the focus gradually shifted towards giving all of the characters more time in the limelight. The Year One characters exist in a school universe where all their teachers are Marvel writers/artists. The strip deals with lots of Marvel events, such as Spidey's black costume era and Civil War. In the Year One take on Civil War, the PTA forces all the kids to register for after-school activities in an effort lead by Iron Kid. In this version, DD doesn't go to jail, but is instead stuck in detention with all the bad kids. As you'll see, they do a spoof on the whole Iron Fist as the impostor thing. Enough talk, here are some pics:
Spoof on Kevin Smith's unfinished mini-series, among other things
