I just learned that today, October 15, is international White Cane Day, which has been celebrated annually since the very important year of 1964. So while good ol' Matt doesn't technically need his (although he has used it to trip people on occasion, and it does come in handy when his radar goes off-line), it remains a symbol of his civilian indentity, and should consequently be cause for celebration. So rip out a favorite old issue of DD in honor of this day! I know I will.  |
