...and get a computer?

Okay, this is me once again going over some DD detail when I'm supposed to be working. I guess that just tells you how much I don't like my job. Anyway, I was just rereading the last TPB (issues #94-99) a few days ago, and I couldn't help noticing that Matt doesn't seem to have a computer in his office. (Hey, it's the kind of thing you notice when you read the thing for the fourth time...)

While I'm glad that absolutely ludicrous "reading computer screens by touch" thing went away about as quickly as it was introduced fifteen years ago, there's really no reason for him not to have a computer. He seems to dump all the Internet research chores on Dakota, which makes sense, but you'd think he would at least write his own case reports, and would he really want someone else reading his email? Pen and paper is so one hundred years ago...

Well, just a random thought. Now, I'll return to my own computer chores. I totally need a new job...

Forget computers...

What he should get is a cell-phone. Otherwise Foggy will die of a heart attack the next time Matt is patrolling and he can't locate him.

While playing around with the idea of cell phones, how's this for a conversation (pretending for a second that Milla is not nuts, and Matt only has minor thugs to beat upp).

- I don't think Daredevil getting caught wearing a braille watch is a very good idea.
- Well, it's eight thirty. I swear to you Matt, I have the strangest life of all my friends.
- Yeah, I'm sorry about that... Wait, there's someone here.
- Matt are you okay? Where the heck are you, anyway?
- Some back alley. It's kind of dark, hard to tell.
- You are such a riot.
- Listen, I've really got to go. But I'll stop by the store though, okay?
- Fine. Just don't die or anything.
- I promise, I'll be home in half an hour...oh I'm really not liking the smell of this guy... *click*

Matt has a cellphone and has used it, actually. In "the king of hell's kitchen" and "the widow" storyarcs.

The Message Board is currently in read-only mode, as the software is now out of date. Several features and pages have been removed. If/When I get time I intend to re-launch the board with updated software.
