Hi guys. I think we've all seen pictures of this climatic moment of Bendis's Secret Invasion, either from the main series or the Tie-ins.

In this battle, a huge army of Skrulls drops in the middle of the city. They are super skrulls, each able to duplicate various superpowers. There's a few giant skrulls who reproduce Giant-man's power; the one who has large, rocky arms like those of the Thing; those who fly and shoot beams etc.
Most of them can even imitate more than one superpower. In this sense, it's emblematic the presence of the Skrull with Colossus armor-like skin, Cyclops' optic blasts and Wolverine's claws.

All these Skrull invaders have also a bizzarre appearence. Each of them wears an outfit (or has accessories) imitating those of the heroes whose powers they're mimicking. So we have the skrull with a sort of Cap's shield, Nova's chest logo and Thor's helmet; the skrull with Doc Strange's cloak, half of Black Bolt's outfit and Iron Man's gloves, and so on.

Now, I think that this has been a big strategic error on their part. If a skrull packs Wolverine's, Colossus', and Cyclops' powers, what need there is to make that evident?
Basing on his appearence, an superhero facing him would be advised on his set of abilities and face him with the appropriate countermeasures.

If I were a Skrull strategist I would've advised some of my soldiers to go to battle with outer appearences that differed from the powers they intended to use, to throw the humans off balance.
For example, I would've told the Colossus-Wolvie-Cyclops Skrull to take mimic the aspect of someone innocuous, like Howard the Duck or Leap-Frog.
Also, to maximize the element of surprise I would've sent them mixed, in a minor ratio, with soldiers whose aspect matched their powers. In order to confuse the humans even more.

Also, given that all my soldiers were expendable for a greater cause, once the heroes were all gathered there in the battle I would've dropped a few nukes in the middle it.
