22 issues without Kingping were enough?? I don't want to see him back... Wasn't he overexposed? I don't want to read the same story one more time Sad

I think that maybe he won't actually return. The solicits say this is just the prelude to something called "Return of the King", which could be about another character.
If he does, I don't know, it's still premature to judge how this will be done, but I don't like the idea of Kingpin returning to his status quo, especially after what Matt has done to defeat him.

I actually think bringing the kingpin back would be a good thing. It might bring some "order" and what not to the stories. (not that there hasn't been order, I love the issues without him as well)

But it might be better than just bringing some old villain from the 60's back.

Yeah, I actually think that enough time has passed that Brubaker is justified in bringing him back. He never really got a chance to play with the character, and he's proved that he's able to write a compelling DD book without him, so I don't think that there's anything wrong with allowing him to use the character this far down the line.

While I agree that Kingpin suffered from overexposition in DD (as did Bullseye), I must say that this sounds interesting.

Brubaker has proven that he's pretty good at Noir, and therefore I think he could make a good story about Wilson's return (in fact, I quite liked his story about Wilson's departure)

"Return of the King"... huh, sounds curious, just like "Lord of the Radars" Razz
